The M1A is affordable, reliable, and might just have the best iron sights I've ever used. Great video

Great review! I own 4 M1A's from two National Match rifles, a Scout Squad and a SOCOM 16... no substitute for .30 caliber firepower! Shortest barrel is 16 inch for the SOCOM 16, 18 inch for the Scout Squad and 22 inch for full size M1A...

The huge benefit of the M1A is that its affordable compared to other .308 platforms, it's functional and you can get them for 1500 or so dollars, are there better options? For sure, but they will be more money

Just bought an m1a. When I was looking at switching from 5.56 to .308 I did my research for sure. I was.looking at cetmes, FALs, ar10s and these. I ended up going with an m1a because exactly what u said "battle proven". What I like Reliability Easy take down. What I dislike How monopolized the market is with customize ability and magazines. Also a lot of fuds in the community as well when u go to ask a question about it. I had an issue with sighting my rifle in and turns out the trigger pack was coming lose and asked if anyone else had the same issue or just me and got a lot of smart ass answers because I called it a "trigger pack" and not a "trigger group"
@rifleshooterchannel2083 ай бұрын
So “battle proven” it was barely used in combat and dropped almost immediately from frontline service because of its shortcomings.

"Battle proven" even though it didn't see even a fraction of the amount of fighting the FAL saw

I believe the main benefit of having an M1A along is to break down cover quickly. The thin barrel can heat up fast and then the rounds are become less predictable.

First video I've seen that people weren't hating on the M14. I know my guys who went through the DMR class at Campbell were making 1000m shots with theirs. We never really had issues wirh them in Afghanistan. How do you plan on employing them at night though?

Unless you live in a state with AWB, an AR-10 is a much better option. Even in an AWB ban state like Commiefornia, a featureless setup (fin grip, etc.) is better. The mag changes alone makes M1 a no go unless it's the only option available.

I was looking at these, FAL clones and the AR10. For the money I don't think you could get a reliable AR10 and the FAL seems to beat you up pretty bad. I'll put up with the difficulty of optics mounting over the gun having to shoot. Also the triggers on these guns are universally good. The bad thing is the lack of extra magazines at the moment. Damn Ukrainians getting aid and buying all of them up.

Dude with the glasses(aka Mr. N), talk to the Mike not to the rifle in your arms. And sound off like you've got a pair. Speaking of the Mike. Can you clean up the wind sound in your recording. Or could you buffer the mike from the wind. Keep it up, boys. You'll get better. Go NAVY!

@@Uberragen21 The Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad is 40.33 inches long with an 18 inch barrel. That’s longer than an M16A4 at 39.6 inches. Then you have issues with mounting lights, lasers, activation switches and fore grips. On top of that it’s heavy, recoils harder and has fewer rounds. CQB and M1A are an oxymoron.
