As a wheelchair bound person myself I can confirm, the dirt from outside is coming inside. Snow is the worst, actually no... sand is. The wet wheels eventually dry and the sand falls off but at that point you're inside your living room or something and because you're rolling around you don't even notice it until someone walks around without shoes and notices it. If they ever invent a super easy way to change wheels without having to get out of the chair (on some self help pitstop type thing) that would be great.

Do you think wheel covers for inside would be helpful or would it fuck the functionality of your wheels? Idk if they even exist I’m just thinking of shoe covers like maintenance or realtors will wear in a house but specifically for your wheels.

My brother is paralyzed. There are outdoor wheelchairs for sand, but they are electrical. His arms are huge cause he just pops wheelies all day. Lmao. Never thought about the wheels getting dirty. But he cleans his chair daily. Stays shiny 😂😂😂

Wheelchair users will use indoor/outdoor wheelchairs, I do. There are also covers or sleeves that you can place on your wheels. Personally, I wear full gloves inside and outside, cities are dirty🤮. I don't like people touching my wheels, I keep the rims clean. Also, always keep hand sanitizer sheets on you. Love the content always.😊

My dad changes chairs and leaves the “outside one” in the garage and when he’s not able to do that if one chair is being fixed he puts a towel or has a rug in the garage that he rolls back and forth on and sprays his wheels down and then goes into the house. All in all it takes about 8 minutes if that. Grew up seeing this my whole life and never thought that people would question how it’s done😅
