Well realistically, Shu’s right. Whether or not the rice water is crystal clear or not, as long as it’s washed twice or thrice it really doesn’t matter. The only real concern with Mysta’s cooking was the fact the chicken looked so undercooked.

I think it depends on where you live wether you have to wash your meat or not. I don’t have to wash my meat where I live. It’s like the eggs in Japan. In Japan you can eat your eggs raw but in other countries not. (I researched a little bit and some articles even say that you shouldn’t wash it)

I didn't realize there was reason to wash meat, any bacteria should be cooked off, unless the meat had actual dirt on it or something, or maybe if less blood was wanted but idk 🤷 I'm not a big fan of meat regardless, lol 😂

Unfortunately, I can relate with the soapy bottle in a way. Only instead of water it was coffee, I honestly thought I got all the soap out before I put my coffee in the thermos for the day. Turns out I didn’t so I was forced to drink soapy tasting coffee the whole day.

Personally I think the cooking video wasn't that bad. The main concerns I had was mostly him undercooking the chicken (and not letting the sauce thicken) and that he didn't properly wash the rice. The latter of which, like Shu said, is at the very least not a health concern, so it's not that big of an issue. Seriously though, please *SOMEONE* buy Mysta some pan lids

Bruh.. that soap water story ... Made me remember when I made a liter of coffee (powder) so I used a big container... When I shook it ... It foamed up.. I thought it's just normal coz I saw a coffee with foamy stuff on top .. but when I drank it.... Yep.. detergent.... I didn't really think much at first but after a few cups.. the foam being a soap hit me and the bitter taste of the coffee can't cover the taste of the soap no more.... 🙃

When I saw the clip of Mysta pouring the pot of coke onto the lid and chicken, it immediately reminded me of a Taiwanese dish actually called coke chicken ( literally translated from 可樂雞 ). It may sound weird, but it's one of the many weird foods that actually tastes good ( and yes, coke is one of the ingredients for this dish ).

I know when someone read this he will scream. But i live in Germany and i know not one Person who washes it's rice. But in my family and enviroment people also eat not that much rice, mostly in form of Risotto and Milchreis(ricepudding?). I began eating more and more rice just the last few years to loose weight and came slowly in contact with sushi. Which i now make a few times a month myself. And i began to wash my rice because i like the process but i personally don't taste any different. I read it's mostly to get rit of starche and an eventually bad taste trough to finedust. But i don't know, the chicken and cola thing was way more concerning to me than the whole rice-thing. For me personally the whole "UHH, wash your rice, uhh" is such a cringe-meme xD.
