It's Grim Patron annoying animation 2.0, now even longer and more annoying. Between that and everyone else playing cubelock, the game is going back to being annoying and without diversity once again. Optimistically, it's not diverse but it's extremely fun. Maybe it's still too early on, but whenever Shudderwock comes down, I just get the thrill, even if it's not my own Shudderwock. Exact same thing with pre-nerf Yogg two years ago.

The difference between Yog and Shudderwock is that Yog cast "Random" spells for each spell cast, that made it immensely fun and fair in my opinion. But Shudderwock casts the "Same" battlecries which were cast this game, taking away the fun and crazy (but often very helpful) randomness, simply turning it into a 99% certain win condition. PS. I stopped playing hearthstone about 1.5 years ago and after seeing these crazy decks which need certain very expensive cards to send your opponents into oblivion (turning the game basically into pay-to-win)... I am honestly happy that I quit :D

Only thing that can beat Shudderwock is something fast, so that the Shudder Shaman can´t get all the Battlecries in place....which in turn forces the meta to become super aggro and I really, really don´t want a only aggro meta tbh.

In my opinion it's not the combo that's broken- OTK decks have existed in many forms. The problem is the animation time makes it so dang boring to play, watch, and ESPECIALLY to play against. They need to speed up the animations by a lot! Maybe take out the animations and just show the cards rapid fire. The targets are random anyways so who cares about watching all the animations.

Found that the deck just gets even better if you include Ice Fishing and two Brrlocs. You get more ways to prevent damage from aggro, stop Vinecleaver, stall while waiting for more mana/to draw removal options, make Shudderwock freeze the board. Brrlocs are used over Glacial Shard because they have their own card draw in a single Ice Fishing and don't get drawn by Sandbinder

Of coarse you don't need lifedrinker. Though it is really the only way this deck can do direct damage. Yes summoning two 6/6 with divine shield and taunt is good, but you opponent can kill them, though they can't stop the three damage for long.

My change would be that a Shudderwock that is summoned by another Shudderwock is "inert" and does not trigger a battle cry and Life Drinker now targets a hero. When you play the Life Drinker from hand you'll obviously target the enemy hero but when cast by Shudderwock there would be a 50/50 chance of hitting your own face and healing the enemy hero.

Its a fun deck to play, awful to play against... with an overall power level likely at or less than exodia mage. It just loses hard if you don't draw the cards you need for the combo. Still think the animations need to be addressed though as i'm sure its mildly annoying not being able to leave the game once the combo starts.

lmao this is worse than MtG storm Storm requires you to go off in a single turn and actually requires forethought and skill, this garbage rewards you just for playing your cards at any time in the right order. If you're not braindead, you should be able to combo off with this deck so long as you draw the pieces

restlessfrager i wasnt playing aggro even but hand druid which is basically midrange deck. Was generally killing them at around turn nine to ten.

Was watching Kripp play a (better, imo with Primordial Drake) Shudderwock deck and he had a 50% win rate. Rogues and Aggro Paladins (including a turn 4 kill) were beating him every time. And of course, the games took foreeeeeeever not just because of the combo animations but you also have to stall the game to set it up. I don't think Shudderwock decks have that great of a win rate, but it can get frustrating for your opponent because they can't resign if the end result will be their death.

Isn't comparable to Yogg. Yogg was pure, chaotic RNG. It could completely screw or win you the game. Shudderwock is purely a benefit as long as you don't play cards with negative battlecries

I hope they change the combo by changing Chain Gang from summoning a copy to summoning another Chain Gang. Shudderwock can still be a fun card (grumble too), don't want them to gut those because of one degenerate interaction.

I put this same deck together that Trump is running in this video. So far I'm 2-10. Its honestly a super hit-or-miss deck that can get run over very easily before you have a chance to get the combo rolling

It loses to spiteful priest, spiteful druid, cubelock, quest rogue, odd hunter. and has a 50/50 matchup with aggro pally. It isn't anymore broken then infinite damage quest mage which required less setup to pull off. Sure it wins when I comes down and does the full combo but so did Antonidas, but you have to get there first. If you are really struggling against it play spiteful summoner in druid roll a 1 of 5 chance for tyrantus and insta win.

The same way that nobody at blizzard could've predicted that a card that makes hero powers free would be cancer when combined with a card that makes your hero power deal 2 and refresh per card or by completely negating a classes inherent downsides by allowing them to heal for absurd amounts and cheat out powerful cards balanced by negative battlecries. For a company as big as Blizzard, you'd think they'd have more component people to see these kinda things.

They need to reword Grumble's battlecry to "Return all friendly creatures that don't share this one's name to your hand. They cost 1" That way you have to keep Grumble alive to keep the multi summons in one round thing going. Personally I would replace one of the Board Wipe guys with a "return a friendly creature to your hand" panda as insurance against the grumble going off before the Saronites. And I would add the deck swap guy in there too (just make sure you Murmuring on him so you wind up with your own deck) and the treasure chest guy (So you fill your opponent's hand with deck swap spells, and his lane with treasure chests. Just make sure you have the shudderwock in hand before giving your oppnent the deck swap spells, or you might lose him.

i love shaman but this doesnt seem fun or fair. i opened one in a pack and it looks like ill get 1600 dust for it when its nerfed. everyone is going to be forced to play a face deck to burn down their shuderwock opponent as fast as possible. all other control decks will get wrecked by this
