This was actually really helpful for me! I am working on a build and I love the jukebox music, so I tend to play a disc or two. It was annoying when I had to keep going back to the jukebox and turning it on over and over, so once I built this, it made me so much more consistent in finishing my build and it would save time for me. Thank you for this because it really helped

I decided to try this on Java because droppers feeding discs into jukeboxes was very recently added, and it half-works - the looping of one disc works, but it outright REFUSES to play any other disc. In order to get this working on Java, you need to make a major alteration to the on/off switch to get it to work - in fact, it requires LESS setup on Java! After placing down the lever at 5:05 in this tutorial, the on/off switch is already done! For some reason, the entire sticky piston/redstone block part isn't needed, and breaks the entire machine. I have no idea what kind of black magic this is, as the lever clearly isn't connected to anything at that point in the tutorial, but it works! Unfortunately, multi-disc does NOT work. It doesn't matter how hard you try or how you design the machine, it will never work on Java. For some unexplainable reason, when the current disc finishes playing and is removed from the jukebox, instead of working like the video shows, it'll intentionally ignore all other discs in the machine, instead waiting for the disc it just played to re-enter the jukebox. I have genuinely no idea why, but from the dozens of hours I've tested every possible method to get it to not do this, nothing works, so this looks like a bug in the Java version's code. I hope later Java version releases fix this, this is a revolutionary machine, if only all of it worked everywhere.

Is there a way to increase the maximum disc capacity? My friend likes to toss in extra duplicates of his favorite songs to increase their chances of playing, but eventually the system gets completely clogged with discs and stops working
@OofinGamer2 жыл бұрын
You have to leave a space in each dropper for it to move a disc through. If you wanna increase space i suggest adding another dropper in line and reworking the redstone.

Can you only put a certain amount of music discs in the “Jukebox Loop”?
@Lexiosity Жыл бұрын
if you want to have autoplay toggle, just break the piston and redstone block, then put a comparator next to the bottom hopper, facing outwards, and attach it to the mechanism that makes the music play. Then, make a lever attached to that redstone line

Tried doing exactly what you do, which took over an hour as I had to constantly rewind video and it didn't work, then went to another more "easier build" video and tried it and it still didn't work. Coming back to dislike both videos and leave a comment hoping to save other peoples time. Literally entire night gone spent trying these.
@OofinGamer2 жыл бұрын
Def sounds like you're doing something wrong. Have you considered watching some redstone tutorials because this is a very simple tutorial and Yes it works. I'm assuming you must be on mobile because redstone on mobile is a bit odd in comparison to other platforms. Thanks for the dislike tho. Really helps me out!
@OofinGamer2 жыл бұрын
By the way, I do have smaller and more compact designs than this one if you check my channel. Might be "easier build" for you.
@JRDNRDGRS2 жыл бұрын
I have done many builds with redstone before, however never with a jukebox. I'm on Ps4, Bedrock Edition, most recent update. An uncut video might help with that as the problem I have is that I sometimes struggle knowing where you have moved to after the video jumps from step to step. This seems easier than most builds I have on my world on the surface, but still never worked despite trying a different similar build twice along with this. Whatever song is in the jukebox ends and it never plays another one after despite the dropper's being full
@OofinGamer2 жыл бұрын
@@JRDNRDGRS Then something is still wrong with what you have. If it's done properly it should operate just as i explained it operating in the video. You can't have all the droppers full or it will not function. You need an empty space in each dropper for it to pass a record to the next. That's one crutial piece of information that is lacking from my video and i admit i didn't mention it. I can't always think of everything. Maybe make an empty space in each dropper and check that everything is right and it should operate just fine.
@JRDNRDGRS2 жыл бұрын
@@OofinGamer @Oofin Gaming ah That's most likely what it was. I believe I had both droppers full of music discs. I will try this again when I finish work and give an update.
