You know, 1 month after release I've been more confident in using Shujinko online because I know almost every matchup and practised most kombos. The key with Shujinko is experimentation, knowledge and most important of all, patience.

@@roebro.44 thank you that’s pretty solid advice I would practice a combo or 2 then go online and not really know how to transition into the combo ik how to take my turn back for the most part but the reason I fall back on mileena is I can start my combo with a low or an overhead so it’s kind of a 50/50 unless they react to the exact string but I’m pretty low rank so that’s uncommon.

@@ThebmanbossI like to play the ai on very hard in training mode until I can hit whatever combo im learning with a character consistently. Yes they read your inputs and dont play like real people but hit confirming the strings and not dropping the combo will be the same

I remember there was this one set vs a Baraka and doing kick/punch into special move was such a throw off for the opponent it was funny seeing them struggle against their own copied moves. Shujinko takes Baraka sparks and the blade swing up and down and this baraka could not block the blade swings.

I think a good buff for Shujinko would be that his meditation charge also slightly charges your meter. And I do mean slightly like it would take 4 call ins to full charge just one bar. It would be a solid pick for the character's that's bar dependent.

I was unaware of the invincible wake up. It gives me more reason to select muh boi Shujinko over others. One fun thing I've done with him is hold the cameo button until he runs behind the opponent and then meditate. People don't know what you're doing most of the time and just let him run by.

I have used Shujinko with Li Mei. He can absorb projectiles while you're setting up a lantern. However, I think hes a bad pairing because her strings don't link well into Shujinko on hit and on block we're usually plus or neutral already.

I just started using shujinko with my main (Geras) and so far he has been a ton of fun to play with. Also when I steal Scorpions spear move it can help fix Geras’ terrible fatal blow which can now net an easy 50% thanks to Shujinko

As a Shang main Shujinko is probably the most fun kameo. Not only can you do more damage AS your opponent, you have a kameo that takes the opponents move that is more efficient most of the time. It’s so much fun

Shujinko is not a bad kameo tbh, his strength depends heavily on the match up and your main champion experience. As a Liu main, I love using Shujinko against Sindel cause having 1 addition launch overhead mix-up.

I learned combos using every move. All in the first week of the game. He is just bad in the current meta

@@alicepbg2042 cyrax had the best ambush kameo assist in the game. You can use it in combos or you can use it to keep yourself safe if not plus on block. It also does crazy chip. He is the best kameo in the game right now and basically every character that sonic is playing has really good synergy with cyrax. So great kameo that makes the characters he plays a lot better. There is no reason to really use another kameo right now.

I enjoy Geras and Shujinko, it allows me to keep spacing, especially if I'm Mid distance. Depending on my opponent, such as Kenshi. I then can keep pressure using geras's weird kombo setups. It's just been really fun finding out when and where I can start my combos or corner kombos

I feel like the BEST way to use Shujinko is to not dedicate to a single character for yourself. Mirror match every set. Use your opponent's character. Now you have their special moves *twice.* Just say you're playing as Shang Tsung.

Idk but I feel that his stuff are done better by other characters like Kun Lao for the proyectiles and mobility, the defense of Sub Zero, plus the freeze, and that is the biggest character so must have a bigger hitbox

I play as Reiko and I think Darius suits him better, so I'm looking forward to your analysis of Darius. This rule is to negate shujinko not help him... I'll give an example... If a geras player is annoyed you are using shujinko to counter him he can switch and use general shao and now you are forced to change your Kameo due to the rules 👀

I knew from the start that Shujinko was going to be a high floor and high ceiling Kameo character. Those kind of characters tend to not get used very much until the meta develops a lot more and players are able to gain enough skill and knowledge. This takes time. Shujinko was never going to be king in the early meta. As the meta develops more, expect him to pop up more and more.

I hope Cyrax gets a slight nerf. Not even because he's too good, but because his utility makes the game terribly boring to watch. The whole point of Kameos were were to keep the game varied. It's hard to see that when every tournament you watch has most people all choosing Cyrax, and all using him the exact same way... For plus frames and chip. It's just boring.

Then how about buffing the other Kameos? Nerfing cyrax isn't going to change anything because people are going to go to the next best thing kung lao. Then it's rinse repeat then before you know it all the solid Kameos are gutted ... Buff kameos that are underwhelming to the level of a cyrax. That's why you see everyone use him why would you use anything else? He's shining because the others are weak and he shouldn't be nerfed because of it.

Found out yesterday that there's a bug where if Shujinko does my axe slam as Shao then it bugs and deletes my axe and gets rid of all my special moves... As if my boy Shao wasn't meh enough already 😂 completely made me lose the match because I lost access to any power slam combos or else he just used breaker and deleted my axe

Only kameos I've personally played against are Cyrax, Sareena, Lao, Sub, Goro and Scorpion. Also including the beta kameos. Ive yet to play anyone using other kameos. It's mainly Sareena and Cyrax in that order.

I think gimmicks like this sould be the best option for effectiveness. No matter how good you are with Shujinko, he's never the best option. In mk9 there were Kabal cancels and Cyrax resets, which made you an S tier only if you COULD do them. In MKX we had instant fireballs. What's the point of S tier characters if everyone can play them effectively?
