The two steals you mentioned as being the most effective wake-ups, that's probably the case because they're fast. What I've noticed about the kameo wake-ups is that the invincibility is on the main character, not the kameo. So depending on meaty timing you might not even collide with the invincible frames but instead hit the kameo before their attack is active - thus they're generally not very good.

Geras now gets 60% bnbs vs like half the cast with shujinko its kind of crazy. Because time freeze is very generous for conversions and lets you get a full shujinko charge into another extender into snap, the combo potential is insane. I clipped one the other day vs ermac which legitimately lasted 23 seconds from start to finish lol

Johnny sunglasses is mainly intended as a setup move I think. If you use it as a special cancel at the end of a combo, you can land it on wakeup and either be really plus on block, or if it actually hits it true combos!

Quan Chi and Shujinko is my current fav pairing. I like how you have to adapt to each character. Quan Chi with Shujinko against Ermac gets an easy 42% midscreen off any standard punish with Konquest Kick 12 -> Konquest Kick -> dbR1u -> dash dash -> zone of power -> 12 -> enchanced purple skull -> delay dash foward -> 13 -> s3 jump cancel 21 -> f44 He also gets a guaranteed zone of waste setup in the corner against Ermac.

Pretty sure shujinko has at least one safe on block 1 bar move in each match up after this parch.

That’s so weird! When I’m playing Shujinko vs. Raiden, my lighting low hitting attack doesn’t work. It still pops up Raiden and Shujinko teleports but he forgets to bring me with him during the teleport. Maybe it’s only bugged with Liu Kang? That’s what I’ve found since the patch. It ain’t working for me with Liu

Just curious why nobody does kameo throw with quan chi? Only his back throw, is it better in any way?

I usually use back throw because you can charge shujinko during the animation whereas you can't with forward. As for any other kameo, not sure

I think its because quan chi is zoning hes often approaching the corner, so more often than not, his back throw give him more space to run after youve finally got him close to a corner

Sadly Raiden teleport steal is bugged again on some characters. Examples: after either Shujinko's punch or kick Liu Kang and Ashrah don't travel with him and stay in place, reappearing back turned. Meanwhile, Ermac is reversed and won't travel with Shujinko unless he uses his punch or kick. Some characters work normally.

I think this might be a balance thing. Ashrah seems to travel off strings like 12, but not off say overhead. I could be wrong however, just a theory...a game theory

@@shujinkydink So I went back to check what you said about the strings since I had missed it and something strange happened: The behavior I described for Ashrah and Ermac have reversed, so now Ashrah only travels after a Shujinko strike but Ermac only travels when not using Shujinko's strikes. I'm 100% positive it wasn't like this the last time I was looking at it. If you get a chance would you mind checking if this is also the case on your system? The only affected characters I saw are Ermac, Liu Kang, Ashrah, and Johnny. I'm on PC. Didn't seem to matter which strings I used.
