Some times at some funerals, the casket is rolled from the front of the church to the back of the church in the vestibule for the final viewing before going to the grave site.

But judging by your original comment, Shuler's comment , and the funerals that I've been to, I'm thinking the casket was in the sanctuary then on its way to the vestibule for thr final viewing. Most of the funerals that I've been to have the casket placed in the sanctuary before the services so that the family and friends can view the video before the service and if they can't stay for the service.

And, on the OTHER hand, sometimes family members make certain requests during these times that NO-ONE can convince them otherwise. If you request a body to sit up, stand up, sit on a bike (etc), nothing else would seem strange!

Exactly Shuler, worked at the best funeral home in Trinidad 🇹🇹 for seven years. Never had an issue. Thank God. I would've died if that happened to me 😂

This happened in Kinston, NC. The deceased's brother had to help put the body back in the casket. The family is still traumatized. The funeral home refunded $1500, but honestly that's not enough.

Sounds like the departed loved ones tried to flex their loved one down the aisle. They had to give permission or make the request. They couldn't wait for them to be seen. Sorry to say it didn't work out. My condolences.

I know nothing about the funeral business. However, I believe I know enough about basic physics (think 6th grade science class) to know that when something is off balance, it will fall over. The lid on that casket should have been closed when they were moving it. My deepest condolences and sympathy to the family.

I heard they covered the funeral expenses. 10 yrs is long enough to know better than to do something like that. Even I knew you don't do anything like that due to the weight of that door. I always see the funeral directors move the casket while it is close, and don't open it until everything is secure and is in place. One side was up, and the dude that was on the end that was open fell too.🙄🙄
