22:20 thats a terminal. They were added in the anniversary edition of CE and were not in the original. There is one on every level, and they add some good lore and backstory. Definitely reccomend checking all of them out! You can watch them all from the main menu in the extras tab if you are interested.

22:18 That video is "A terminal", they are secret videos scattered through various parts of the game that serve to explain certain things of the Halo lore, but really are very confusing videos that leave people disoriented and clash with the narrative of the main game, very entertaining when you've already played the games and at least read a book or comic Halo, but if it's your first time... it will only leave you with more questions than answers.

a kind reminder, don't underestimate the starter pistol, its not good versus the shields unless you're zoomed in and shooting around the shield but its pretty beast otherwise, in fact, you can kill the big guys in one shot with it, just get close so they charge at you then side step to dodge their charge and quickly strafe around behind them, a well placed shot in their lower back with the pistol can be a one shot kill, its their weak spot so its a good strat with any gun versus them really but especially the pistol plasma gernades are great because they will stick to the enemies, therefore they can't run away from them lol just aim high because they drop when you throw them if you hold the trigger a second to charge your shot with the green plasma gun you can destroy shields and last thing, you can't have two of the same gun, which is why it wouldn't let you trade the green plasma gun for the purple one, you already had a purple one as your other gun

FYI, Plasma (Covenant) guns are better at harming shields, while human weapons cause more damage to anything unshielded.

I’m pretty sure Bungie got the idea for the design of the elites from the Predator, and I’m pretty sure 343 did the same for their new designs in the later games since they look nearly identical to it

Heya Jonesy! I just recently discovered your channel due to your World at War playthrough / Black Ops journey and I must say what a wild ride that one was! Happy to have found you! I'm very enthusiastic that you've decided to embark on your Halo journey! It's quite an adventure!! I don't believe I've seen anyone tell you so I thought to tell you myself: Halo's original controls are a bit more mainstream, meaning the reload button would be X, and RB would be to throw your grenades and so on. For some reason the Anniversary edition, aka the Remaster changed the controls to suit the more "modern" control scheme. If you'd like, you can change the controls in the settings to the classic version and it might help with the awkwardness that's associated with this control scheme. Also, it's very possible that you've already played it in advance, but if not I would absolutely love to see you play the mission "Guilty Spark" with the original graphics as many have said, and I personally feel that that mission specifically loses A LOT of its original tones, mood and themes with the newer and remastered graphics. It's just an entirely different vibe in that mission between graphics! Regardless of what you choose to do, I'm very excited to see you play through this game and even possibly the franchise as a whole, as it's a personal favorite of mine in all of gaming!

The human handgun is actually pretty good, think of it more as a single shot rifle than a pistol. It can actually one-shot a Hunter too (the big armored enemies) 😉

Quick tips 1. To deplet enemy shield, pick a plasma pistol, hold down the trigger for like 2 to 3sec then shoot at an enemy. 2. Meleeing an enemy from the back instantly kills them(very effective when going in stealth mode) 3. When close to an enemy, melee them. It stunts them for a few seconds or kills some of them some times(like grunts)

This mission is the best in the game, it gives you so much freedom, you have a lot of marines that you can pick up in case the ones you have with you die, you can complete it in different ways, it gives you new weapons and it feels so good to walk the beach. P.S. Remember that you can charge the plasma pistol shots to instantly burn the shield of the enemies.

For the Hunters (the big geezers with the green cannons) wait until they run at you then shoot them in the orange patch on their back. Also give a watch of all the terminals once you've done the full playthrough. They give a lot of context and background to the whole Halo universe. They have them on Halo 2 as well.

Just remember when it comes to hunting Predator: Although he can turn invisible, it's not total invisibility as he has a tell-tale shimmer. And also remember that Predator only hunts in tropical jungles... I assume.

It's funny, I've never seen someone reliant on the plasma weapons so much, the plasma pistol especially; most people view it as a pretty weak gun, and only useful for its secondary fire of holding the trigger and charging a shot that knocks out enemy shields. But hey, that's just me, you seem to be doing very well with them. Though the human pistol, the Magnum, is deceptively good for having a scope and great for headshots.

If you get into gunner turret, the marine actually drives for u but not very well lol. You should try play on difficulty above normal as it puts up bit more of a fight where as normal can breeze through them like ants

If you're feeling brave can up the difficulty level to heroic, which is little bit stronger then currently normal difficulty Eniemes take a tad longer to take down
