I'm Tetraplegic so mine is diaphragm up. I still have use but meh strength in my arms. I've watched soooo many Vanlife videos until I finally decided that I'm going to do it. I am starting off small. My Dodge Grand Caravan has just the right enough space and my wheelchair carrier is already mounted. Since it's a stow and go, the storage is built in, and the back storage is perfect for a lithium batteries and more storage. If your legs are paralyzed, I wonder if you could take out the passenger seat to hold your wheelchair and come up with an outside the box way of getting from the chair to the driver's seat?

As a person who worked with the disabled my entire life, I can assure you that there are tremendous needs in this area. As a utilitarian who wants a big shower in a small build, this is fantastic!

I am so glad to see this as I have considered one with accessibility. Love the shower and the platform still being in use.

WOW...I so need this! My wife and I have been camping most all our lives and recently had purchased our 'dream' motor home but due to my becoming wheelchair bound earlier this year had to sell it. Now we want/need something like this so we can remain campers. This would be perfect!

This is a awesome build!!! I boondock all over the west, mostly on BLM land in my SUV. My biggest challenge is I'm wheelchair bound. So after I climb into the SUV, I need to pull up my 65 lb rugged (all terrain except sand) folding powerchair. I solo camp with my service dog. A build like this would be such a game changer for me. 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing this video!

I'm disabled and have many limitations. I'm slowly loosing my ability to walk completely. What you did with your bus is actually what I want to do. I want a bus with wheelchair lift to make into a tiny house for myself and my emotional support dog.

Vanlife is something I would love to do. I'm disabled too & this is absolutely ideal & it just goes to show that these things can still be achievable if done right. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. One day maybe🤩🤞😁.

It is awesome that you can customize your building for special purposes/customers. You have some really cool gadgets like the round aqua blue nobs and latches. I hope she enjoys it for many years to come! I love the live edge countertops. Great job on your bus conversion 👍

Thank you so much Mae! I loved the knobs so much that I used the same style in my personal van

I am a handicapped person myself and the two major hassles are the shower/bathroom and then accessibility to get INTO the van/bus whatever. Handicap accessible is different for everyone as we all have different issues. The shower is very well done!! Keeping controls up high is a MAJOR WIN!!! I to have to sleep in a recliner it’s very nice to be handicap and not be forced to stay home because amenities don’t fit your needs! Job well done!! Does this person/couple have a KZbin channel? I’d love to follow her adventures!!
@nomadbrad5033 жыл бұрын
I’m so happy to hear that this is helpful to you! You should definitely hit the road if it’s in your plans...unfortunately they do not have a KZbin
