Yeah I think it just comes from inexperience. Similar thing happened on timewarp trail in Ashland last weekend on one of the fastest sections.

It's a close call. The road has a pretty stiff climb but then its a road bomb. 1st Divide you may encounter other riders on a narrow section and can't pass.
