Went from a 2.6 dissector to a 2.4 trail boss with a cush core and it's hands down the best tire I've ridden in the back. Being a 2.4 it's got less surface area so In dry conditions it doesn't feel like I'm floating on ball bearings, it actually holds.

Always wondered if it was possible to ride up or down the Barr trail. Curious how much walking/hiking you had to do vs riding. The top looks very questionable in spots and even so requires a certain level of expertise to even attempt.

Yes it's possible, not very fun at the top.

I ride those trails several times a week and love rewatching this video. The speed is amazing and inspiring. Just flat out sprinting around areas where most everyone is huffing like tired dogs.

You can have all that cliffy exposure stuff, but plop me down at the top of that descent and I'm ready to RIP without worrying that I'm going to RIP, if you get my drift. Nice video.

What was that flowy trail with a bunch of jumps that ended at 4:15?
@jonathanhowson64205 ай бұрын
I have this bike, but the Ohlins coil Ltd edition. Exactly the same frame and carbon rear end but also the coil suspension and gx groupset. All in all a much better bike than the S Works. Better suspension always comes before groupset.

Crazy how much this trail has changed by now. So much more rocky and technical than it used to be

My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.

They would be going even faster if encounter a bear on the trail . I see a lot of coyote pooh on the trails and I don't think they would be able to catch me because fear of becoming lunch is a great motivator .

Last time I rode this was the early 90s on a steel-framed rigid beast with center pull rim brakes. That was NOT a pleasant ride. But that was also the day I decided to get a bike with a suspension fork (decent full suspension bikes were still a few years away). I’d love to ride that on my Stumpjumper now but I’m living in the southeast now, so probably not in my future anytime soon. Thanks for the memories!
