Perfect trail, riding it blind at that speed is nothing short of miraculous! If I were to attempt that epic ride I'd plan for two days, since even going half your speed I'd be pushing it. I'm gonna smoke a fat one in your honor. Keep on shredding and bringing us the good stuff guys.

Have you tried using a chest-mounted Hero 7 without a gimbal? If so, are the "hyper smooth" results comparable to Hero 4 + Gimbal (the seemingly most common mtb-vlogger setup)?
@willbros14996 жыл бұрын
Not sure about the Trail Peek buys, but I know Phil Kmetz (Skills with Phil) and Daily MTB rider have both moved to the Hero 7. That propelled me to try it HOWEVER, the stabilization isn't good enough on a chesty, or any other place besides the chin bar of a full face helmet. Not sure why...but it works VERY well chin bar mounted. The issue is, most people don't like to wear full face. I've always worn the newer "trail full face" helmets, so it doesn't bother me. Here's a recent video I did with it. I LOVE how you are able to see where I'm looking, and I'm done with the hassle of gimbals. This is much easier to manage, and I think it's every bit as good if not better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYvMnmCfmq6jhKc
@NevadaSmith26 жыл бұрын
Willbros - right on. Yeah, I just got a Hero 7 last weekend w/ the Chesty and all sorts of mounts. I’m interested to experiment with it.
@willbros14996 жыл бұрын
@@NevadaSmith2 .... The two biggest things are...getting a foam windscreen and setting the audio to "Stereo." It's in the ProTune setting menu. If you leave it on auto...you'll get funky sounding audio from the camera trying to correct for wind noise. A good way to mount it to your chin guard is to get a handlebar/seatpost mount, and remove the half of the clamp that has the gopro mount. Zip tie that "half moon" do your chin bar, and mount the camera off that. That's the cleanest way I've found to mount it, and it provides the most stable video by far. Good luck man!
@TrailPeek6 жыл бұрын
Stabilization isn't quite there yet even on the 7. If quality on the Rylo was better, I would use that. Im really going for quality, I can sacrifice some comfort if necessary. Ive gotten fairly used to wearing my gimbal set up.
