If we are talking about averages or medians, I think we should also keep in mind that Indians who have come to America are already from a well-to-do family. While, the White Americans also include people that were born in a poor family originally and are not earning much and thus, bringing the average down. I agree with all the points in this video but, I think that this is an important factor contributing to higher average income of American-Indians.

Not necessarily true, it depends on how you define a well-to-do family. Many of my friends came to the US from lower middle class families, after borrowing a student loan. Their luck was that they were able to procure that loan, which in today’s age isn’t that difficult. I think what helps Indian immigrants is that once you’ve been through the rigorous Indian system where there’s a lot of competition, adapting to the US way of life and working is much easier, and for same or even lesser amount of efforts, the dividends are more. American culture is much more egalitarian that way.

Most Indians who leave India and move to a foreign country like USA, Canada, UK, or Australia are already coming from a upper middle-class family in India, or they have a Business that they are expanding, or they have a good College degree like Medical, Engineering, or Finance degree. So it's no surprise that Indians living in the USA are some of the richest People. Look at just India itself, we have 1.4 Billion People, and majority of Indians in India are either in Middle Class, or Lower Class, we are still a developing Country.

@@vanillajoy2106 I think you are coping by thinking this. But you know deep down what is the truth. The American - Indian diaspora is one made up of the top filtered bunch of the Indians, and hence they succeed there because they are literally the cream, they would succeed in any other country too. These are literally the people who "made it". Also this definition of middle class in India is quite blurred, everyone wants to be called middle class, but I can assure you, if you have been able to get a loan without your family members selling almost all of their belongings, you aren't "middle class", more like above 90 percentile.

Quoting your original statement: "…in usa institutions are of better standards and there isnt any hype for specifics streams thats and due to better institutes it is indirectly implied that if someone is graduate is obviously qualified…" While there are indeed high-quality institutions in the US, it's not accurate to claim that all institutions are uniformly superior. Variations in educational quality exist EVEN among prestigious universities. "…also in us to study higher education is also a choice as there are more sources of income…" L ofc the US does offer diverse job opportunities, pursuing higher education isn't always a purely optional choice. but it is in our cultural thing we don't have a choice this is INVESTMENT. in US students rely on loans and financial aid to cover the costs, which can lead to significant debt post-graduation. the greater problem of US "…unlike India where we have to be atleast graduate get a average earning job…" While certain industries in India might emphasize graduate degrees ISN'T OBVIOUS!?, vocational training and skill-based education are gaining traction as viable paths to employment/self employment Your initial statement oversimplifies the complexities of both countries' education systems and the various factors affecting job prospects and income.

They keep getting bulloed, get emotionally traumatized but I don't know why their parents don't get involved. (My this info comes from tv shows that I watched, maybe it isn't true, maybe parents do get involved) In India parents are too much protective of their children, in a good way. Whenever a child gets in trouble, the same day he shares this to his parents and they get involved, they take action if they can, this is what should be done.

Isse ache to CS50 jaise online course kr apna skill develop krne pr dhyan de to zyada shi rhega. Degree se ghnta kuch nhi hoga . . . agr wo degree kisi top college ki na ho. Aur zyadatr top college me paise v ache lgte hai, jo hr kisi ke paas nhi hote. Skills (online courses, Internet, practice, learning) >>>> Most of the Indian Colleges(Except top colleges). Aur me yha doctor jaise profession ki baat nhi kr rha, uske liye to college hi chahiye. Talking mainly about software and programming jobs. Degree ho ya na ho, but Education is must. Pretty sensible take to be honest . As someone belonging from lower middle class family , our parents are scared and paranoid out of their minds about getting a degree . They certainly don't understand that if you are not in top colleges you are overlooked plus in today's world rather than your CGPA and marks what you can bring to the company matters . So yeah skill and overall personality are much more preferred rather than just sitting all day wasting time at shitty schools and colleges .

Few things I have to say where you are wrong - 1. Working longer is not working harder. Most people I have seen working long hours are those who either are inexperienced/ineffective and they meet up with long work hours, very bad a time management and not scheduling their work properly or who just waste their and others time. Indians that you see in the USA and who are successful, they don't waste time. They might work long hours, but 70% of that is supporting other people to finish their work in time. They can easily complete their work in half day, contradicting to most Indians who work long here but don't achieve half of what they do. 2. Also it's pointless to compare to Indians into Americans who live in cities like NY, California, etc. Just see Americans who work in cities like Detroit, Texas or Torroto, there you can find American who are as productive as Indians. Even in Europe, Italians are crazy intelligent and innovative. 3. Your point is true that Indian parenting is strong, but there is other factors as well that made them study and work abroad and not here. Because in India, having Engineering Degree doesn't guarantee you job. 90% of Indians from non-IIT don't gain the latest technological exposure until they get a job. Also our Education system separating Theoretical from Practical, Commerce from Science is the biggest blunder of India. Most high paid jobs such as Data Analytics and Data Science require you to have knowledge from both fields. 4. I kind of don't agree with your point of us being fortunate enough to not work and study. Because until you start working you won't know the value of money. That's one advantage of Americans over Indians. They started working early and knew how to save money

1. An average Indian can't afford to go to America. Maybe Canada, Australia but not America. America is still an expensive country for most of Indians. 2. Indians live a disgusting life here in terms of standard of living, everything is basically hard for an average Indian. It can be earning money, pressure from society, getting girls. Whatever it is , we have cut throat competition in everything, 3. The same competition drives us to becoming better. 2 out of 3 world toughest exams are from India. Upsc and jee. 4. Red Tapism problem of India, Its easier to start your own business in foreign than it is in India. 5. In India, Our biggest demerit is our Mindset. We do have scarcity mindset, can't blame anyone, it's how we have been programmed by a series of generation who still have colonised thinking. 6. Foreign countries provide a better "present" which motivates one to work harder while in India we still have unfulfilled basic needs like good transport, drinking water and electricity availability. 7.Its easier to be successful in America than it is to be successful in India. Competition because of insane population. 8. Education system of India is stressful, super stressful and not that useful or practical. 9. In India, we have moral policing. A country that wreaks in poverty should not talk about moral according to me. This constant pulling someone down because he is trying to setup business instead of a safe job should be stopped.

1. I know that but an average American can do minimum wage for his entire life and still live a better life in America than most middle class people can do in India. 2. are you kidding me? You know right what per capita income, PPP and GNI right? its not even comparable wtf. Dumb argument. 3. did I mentioned anywhere, I am listing down problems? You assumed that. It's just a list of opinions. 4. its improved definitely but on ground level drastic improvements are needed. I use to work with RRRbs and let me tell you. The solution to get good startups according tour government is to keep providing funds which creates the problem of NPAs for banks. Its.a vicious cycle. 5. I agreee with 100000% no doubt in that. Life is tough in India but that makes it beautiful. am earning good with minimum work hrs and studying also! I am not a complaining Indian I am just analayzing. 6.I lived in Germany for 6 months, was in London for 4 months then I travel to southeastern Asia.. I am not saying gov provided transportation in foreign countries but the system is easy. I didn't had to worry or book tickets weeks before in travel when I was in uk or travelling across eu. 7. dumb argument. wtf, if India had a big market we won't be exporting this much. The market is big but only for agriculture and basic needs, our service sector is top notch but it's the companies of foreign to whom we provide services. you can cross verify this on gov portals. 8. all the CEOs came from India. thats the real brain drain. The best people move out, thats a problem not a feature. and you cannot say its ceo are from India so Indian education is amazing. Education is judged by how far an average person gets educated in a country. countries like Finland, Norway are doing great in this regard. This also you can verify. 9. Moral policing keeps a country intact? Are you kidding me? read any sociology text and you will know, as a nation becomes wealthy, developed, it becomes open to ideas and not the other way around. Another thing, In India the moral policing is not helpful my friend. Do you really think people know about what's right or wrong? It's more about laughing and brining other person down this constant watch from society makes an individual suppressed and takes away his ability to think. I am not saying we should be a sick society like america, where everything isa joke right now. Nut definitely, we need to be open to new ideas and mainly different ideas. its not about morality, its about development. Moral science is for the privileged class.@@dangyho Lastly, if something offended you, I am sorry. I am not.complaining or bickering about India, I am trying to show the truth, so more people work hard, earn more and create a good life for themselves in India. Together we grow, but first we have to accept our loopholes and work vigoursly. Thankyou!

Padhte waqt ffs pen paper lekar behto. Haath always chalna chahiye. Always make notes. Chahe ek topic ka 10 baar notes le rahe ho. Always use your hand. Ye textbook highlight karne se nahi chalti zindagi. Tumhare baato se class 10 ya class 12 ke lag rahe ho. I feel class 10 ke ho tum. Toh bhai pen paper lekar behto notes banao, active recall, as shwetabh says
