Idk if Ryu just hasn’t played enough Sonic 3 to remember, but I wonder if the sun didn’t hit him because the Fire shield makes you immune to fire attacks in Sonic. I wonder if it does in this game too.

maybe. i haven't fully explored the shield capabilities in this game. i know you can fry enemies in the snow level with the fireball though

distance is measured in meters. use those as a chronometer, the second digit from the right are the seconds, so every stage being 1000m, it's 100 seconds (near 2 minutes every level) on hard mode, is exactly 2 minutes for a stage

I think in the Reznor fight the "BUMP" is saying you can ram it from the left or right while you're on the water.... EDIT: then Ryu realizes it a whole video + 1:02:00 later. It's still kind of a @#$% move since doing that with any other enemy would hurt you, but... bump means bump.

I know alot of the allure of this masterpiece is the mario, sonic, shovel knight etc references. But tbh the creator should allow this one to exist, but do a re-skinned version as well with original music & art…would be a great game, and could make some $.

That’s not true they did give you a shield on that map. You used them super quick though. The fire one might help in this level just because there is hot stuff and you should be protected
