+Anisa Antoinette I can unterstand in a way but I don't agree with it. It's because dat hair doesn't fit her face :D I think she is really pretty - and not just on the inside - but that hairstyle doesn't fit her imo. Look at the times she had longer hair: really beautiful. But actually I don't really give a fuck. She is happy. She makes good music. She is beautiful. She is also beautiful on the inside. And she is finally rich ^^ She can do whatever the fuck she wants to. Well and except for that I think no human should be called ugly. Why being so mean? Good people always seem pretty to me while I always see ugliness in assholes.

People say she's ugly, others say she's gorgeous. She looks like any normal person in this world. Her voice should be called gorgeous and the only person who is ugly are those calling her ugly. Edit: just for some context of this comment since I’ve been getting hundreds of the same replies. 7yrs ago the only comments on this song were either calling her ugly or gorgeous. A big reason Sia covered her face for was for people to not critique her face. Can we just appreciate a beautiful song? A woman’s value isn’t her appearance. I don’t think it’s a compliment when someone pours their soul into their art only for people to focus on her looks whether or not it’s positive. She sang such a deep personable song only to be met with shallow comments. It’s demeaning to her art. Stop reducing women’s achievements to their looks. We are more than that.

I love how the people in the audience aren't moving, talking or holding up their phones to record her. It's like they are so fixated on her and her music and they don't want to miss a single second of her performance. That's beautiful and extremely rare!

Michelle Jackson I used to take 100 pictures of every concert for 2 years, but then I' ve realized I' m missing the live experience by clicking the phone/camera all the time, so I rather listen, and do just 5 photos, and one with musicians. Anyway, if you are behind technology in a live event, you miss the whole cascade of emotions. Anyway, in really emotional and semi-acoustic and acoustic performances, people are usually stunned, and do not do lots of that stuff.

Michelle Jackson From the concerts I've been to, I usually take a lot of pictures and videos simply because I can't believe I'm standing in the same room as someone I admire so much! But I've learned to take less, and see more:)

I honestly cry everytime I listen to this cause it reminds me how hopeless and empty that one time of my life felt. This kinda reminds me of how empty that feels but also gives me hope for a better future Thanks Sia :) You're amazing

for all the people making ugly comments about the way she looks or her age. ..You truly are not thinking ...that is the exact reason she doesn't show her face. PLEASE stop looking for visual perfection. ....most of use will never come close to what we have become accustom to thinking is beautiful. She's so Human. So deeply beautiful. Fom the depth of her soul, to the poetry of her spirit, to the beat of her heart... to the tip of her eyes when she smiles, she is the strength of the humanity. we can all find in her words, the meaning of our silent feelings, those anyone can make them sink or suddenly save from shadows, out of shallows. Thousand of thanks to her for her songs.

As much as I hate to say it, I agree. The new stuff isn't terrible or anything, but nothing has even come close to Colour the Small One/Some People Have Real Problems/We Are Born. Those three albums were just masterpiece after masterpiece. New stuff is just pop anthem after pop anthem. A cut above the usual, but still just kinda...that.

This song has gotten me through some of the worst times of my life since I was in high school 10 yrs ago, where I was so close to ending everything, and I just knew after hearing it that there was more to life than what I thought possible. This rendition of it is absolutely beautiful and the story behind the song is part of what helps someone going through the same trials get through it alive. A raw and deeply earnest song. Many can relate to the vulnerability conveyed in this song. Only an artist who is moved by the reality of life can give such a rendition of meaning in 3 mins or more. The things, stuff that ales us all. It takes most of us some time to admit too, but Sia has from her work displayed has journeyed and turned it into songs for us. Encouraging.

This was nearly 10 years ago (2007), in 2010 sia was seconds close from dying. She checked into a hotel and left a note on the door saying "ive killed my self and dont want you to see my dead body". She was also a drug addict and alcoholic at the time, so she took a few years off to sort herself out. She didnt commit suicide because of a timely call from a close friend. She chooses to cover her face because the fame is what nearly killed her, and she wants to maintain privacy. If you mock her, you have a stone heart, how can't you appreciate her talent as being a miracle, at the end of your day, its your opinion weather you like sia or not, but just think of what she's been through. How can you not be proud of her? She's an amazing woman and deserves the world! Hopefully this has made some people think to 'look at the skeletons in the closet' before judging! Please share this message, copy and paste it onto social media etc, to spread awareness of What sia's been through 💙
