Yea the re-release is a bit better. Whoever mixed it just didn't leave enough of an EQ pocket in the 1-3k range. Simple notch filter on the guitars would have saved lives here.

In this video we have two totally different singers, one with that soft voice which is more caracteristic for modern time of singing, and the other one with that deep and strong voice. It's just an amazing combination, both of them are great singers! I have also to say that guys on guitar are doing great job! I like this cover a lot! :D

Jose Villalobos Dude, all of the signing is synthesized and poorly synthesized as well. The stereotypical T-Pain auto tune isn't the only way to digitize/synthesize a voice. Go and listen to Britney Spears' Femme Fatale album or Ozzy Osburnes' last album. All digitized up the wazoo, but even Ozzy's voice sounds more natural than these guys'. And Ozzy can barely talk. sooo ya

Hiram Hernandez It's called audio effects. i.e., Pitch correction, quantization, reverb'ing, there are a ton of techniques. You can do it with certain software, mixers, blah blah blah. Most engineers do it to a certain degree, but this cover is a prime example of music overproduction. They did a little bit of everything. However..., the bottom line is if their voices sound natural to you, then the more power to you.
