That violinist is part of the band. He has been with them when they were called Siamese fighting fish, before they shortened it to Siamese. His name is Christian Hjort Lauritzen

This song is so good! It reminds me of a band I used to listen to called Emarosa that I used to listen to. Johnny Craig was the lead singer and he has such a killer voice like this guy.

Been getting into the habit of watching these while I have my morning coffee before work. No regrets. I feel less lame now after hearing your commentary, I was thinking Fall Out Boy's From Under The Cork Tree / Linkin Park's "In The End"... glad I'm picking up a similar vibe!

How to tell if you are young or old in one easy question - "What do you think of the electronic vocal effect added to the singer's voice at the start of this?" If you are young, you think something like "That's nice. It sounds kind of cool." If you are are old, it's more like "nooooooooooooooo....I want to punch out somebody's eyes and remove my eardrums with a rusty drill to ease the agony of hearing that effect for even one more second of my life...please make it stop, I'm begging you, make it die!" Or something like that. But anyway, absolutely none of that leads me to (almost certainly) a new band suggestion - The Let's Go's. They are another all-female Japanese rock band, but unlike (probably) all you've seen, their genre is old style stripped back punk, but delivered in a way that's upbeat, characterful, and a lot of fun. This is a recent video called "Feel Like It" which is a two-minute blast of energy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJKcaYWgpbChgZo I'm not sure what you guys would make of it, but it would be interesting to find out.
