@@MaaikeGirardinDouble check that you've logged in properly to the AvidLink program, then restart the program(s). If needed, restart your computer. I didn't do anything more than this to get it to work. I hope this helps.

It may also be that you have downloaded Sibelius Ultimate instead of Sibelius First. You must download Sibelius First for it to work.

actually it is very easy. when you're done with everything go to where it says print. click on the icon. then you will see where it says microsoft print to PDF. it is below the heading that says Printer. that is all. once you click on that, it will ask you where you want to save your document. Now you have a PDF file.

Thanks Glen. Yes most music notation software have the ability to do a Save As to pdf, export to pdf, or Print to PDF. PDF stands for Portable Document Format. If you are wanting to transfer your .sib file to another notation software, you should save as a .mid file or music xml file.

when I select a note with the mouse and put it on the staff I cannot get the notes off the mouse when I move it around. how can I get a neutral cursor back? well this is an old post maybe someone will save me lol

Hyphens do not work in SIielius First 2021. Is there is any possibility to fix this issue?

The reason the music isnt helping at all is because you can get inspiration in your head and quickly want to write it down and then you hear the music and forget about what you wanted to write:(

Sibelius first doesn't allow me to write anything on it. almost all the icons do not react at all. frozen. can you provide a solution, thanks.

when you open Sibelius it should give you an avid link button, and an ok button. make sure you open avid link before pressing ok and it should take you to the sign in page. if it hangs on initialising try again, just don't select a score template and it seems to work 9/10. hope this helps!

yes but Sibelius first which I am using wont transfer xml files. only possible in ultimate and other subscriptions. also you cannot upload xml files to First if you wanted to, also, the loop function button is not working in First. Also to go back to any bar, you cant just use the curser, you would have to use the dropdown menu, then put in which bar you want to go to, and all this takes away from your time and the workflow. Sibelius intention with that is to want you to upgrade.

In SIBELIUS the stage lines go right through the GUITAR TAB NUMBERS, anyone know how to break the lines so there is space around the tab ?!

Not impressed at all that you pay $600 for Sibelius but they won't offer any customer support - they won't even let you talk to someone without having to pay a monthly or annual fee. Can't even find an email address for them and all I want is a simple question answered.

Figured it out. On a mac, go-to file/print , scroll to bottom, see button "Use OS Dialog.... From there, you can save as PDF.

This happens when you open Sibelius without using Avid Link. Instead, you need to download AVID Link. Then open Sibelius First inside of Avid Link.
