They must not watch these true crime shows. Jessica was absolutely a standout in the challenge. She nailed the talking head with deadpan humor that captures the mundane realities of life and exaggerates them within the absurdities of the challenge in an earnest way. It's so skilled it went over their heads. Anyone can go big and broad, but Jessica's more restrained yet fully aware performance was the best parody of the night.

Sometimes with these challenges, everyone is bringing such high energy, it can get a bit one-note. Jessica's serious concern for PoundCake was hilarious because it was unexpected. She made you feel like PoundCake was a character in the story, and not just a prop. Also, Monet is right, the Sponge is wayyyy more iconic than the purse.

I thought Jessica was absolutely hilarious, and she's definitely the one that made me laugh the most (still after many rewatches of the etb-guacamole bit), but production might've been playing it safe by picking Lala, who more typically fit the bill for a regular comedy challenge winner. I think Jessica's humour was maybe less easily universally appreciable than Lala's, and it was quite a departure from the comedy you typically expect to have on drag race.

THERE'S NO OTHER TV SHOW THAT PUSHES THEIR CAST THIS HARD. actors get to learn lines, but they sit while other people do their hair, make up, and costumes, on the other reality tv show, the same, people get there just to be. other people do their faces, hair and pedestrian outfits. on DRAG RACE, u have to film a lot of content in no time, u have to do/style ur hair, BEAT ur DRAG face, put on costumes u might have gone bankrupted for, and try not to get eliminated, making all the money u spent, not that easy to come back. ITS A LOT. AND THEY PUSH THEM TO THEIR LIMITS WITH THEIR SCRIPTED DRAMA AND TRAUMA SQUEEZES JUST FOR THE PRODUCERS AND THE ONES THAT GET THE REAL COINS BENEFIT. there's something to be said about it. the scheduling of the filming shouldnt be so convoluted and tight. but then again, theyre looking for u to break, to make good tv, so... theyre not looking to benefit the queen's mental states.
