Yes very this, and I feel for that reason is exactly why the judges treated Utica’s look the way they did. If more queens had that beast Couture rendition rather than just focusing on the beast part so that there was more variety on the runway her look should have gotten more than “it’s just pretty.” Which I mean don’t get me wrong I did enjoy majority of the other looks, Rosé being an absolute favorite of mine and even Tina’s was very cool if she were able to fix the makeup a bit but Utica’s look was also very up there for me giving me very Maleficent type monster with the white contacts and horns and wearing the fur of some beast

I could tell you plenty of examples where a bad runway didn't affect someone's win (e.g. Bob's rollerskating runway, jinkx's snatch game) and also ppl who had amazing runways but bad performances but still stayed at the bottom (kahmora's dragon look, widow vondu stars and stripes look). So pretty sure it's like a 80 challenge/20 runway instead of 50/50.

I sadly think the competition is producer influenced at times. Kandy’s runway was hot garbage, truly, I’m so sorry. And Mik did so bad in the challenge and was able to slip completely under the radar. How did the judges not acknowledge that Utica was doing a play on Maleficent? If I saw that beast in the forest in the dark, I would be terrified. Thats a beast. Utica will not win this competition because that is how this show is manipulated. The judges and producers do not like her drag, commentators do not. She also won the lip sync to me, Tina stopped singing towards the end. And Rose absolutely killed as well. Beast COUTURE was the theme, I saw furries and random shit on stage.

Miks outfit played with dimension and perspective which nobody else did, if Utica did a play on Maleficent it literally doesn’t matter because they almost never bring up references the queens make. I wouldn’t be scared by Uticas “beast” it was very beautiful and an amazing garment I’ll give her that. Furries are literally beasts they’re large animals if we’re going by what google says and Rose was also wearing a costume just like pretty much everyone on that stage. IMHO, Utica won that lipsync because she was able to interpret the song in a way that's totally unexpected. Sure, you can twerk or move your ass to a song that's literally called "My Humps" but what Utica did was provide a more fresh take albeit ironic twist. In my opinion I do think Utica won, it was a weird interpretation of the song but it was interesting and a clean lip sync. Tina was great at the beginning but then got a little messy. Besides she didn't have a challenge win, she was just in the top for one challenge the disco one, and hasn't being oustanding on the comedy challenges as people expected, and her looks are just tragic. I think it was her time even tho i don't believe she was the worst this week.

Did we watch the same edit of the lip sync? Tina’s lip sync was good and she had some good moves, but it was scattered and lost a lot of energy toward the end when she didn’t seem to know all the words and was out of breath. I enjoyed watching her, but there was no arc and no storytelling in her performance, just going through the motions. Utica’s performance was sharp, original, and she grabbed your a attention by punctuating the words with her gestures and face. She knew the whole song back to front and gave us something more than the occasional gaggy dance move. I agree that there was no competition...but I disagree that it should have been Tina’s win. It reminded me of the energy Ben dela Creme brought to “Anaconda.”

Yea the thing with Utica was very odd; she literally said ‘I wish Tina had stayed and I’m sorry I’m here instead’ (paraphrasing but she did apologize for beating Tina). I’m surprised Bob didn’t react more to that. If any other queen had said that they wouldn’t said no no you deserve to be here too and comforted her..but instead they were silent/agreeing with her. It’s not her fault RuPaul chose her, people! Don’t punish HER for the judges decision! Not that you guys are but the other queens are so unsupportive of Utica when you look at how they treat all the other fellow queens. Lucky for Utica she seems to have her own inner light and if it’s affecting her she doesn’t let it show. They did not like Kandy's look. Ross did for some reason, but all of them agreed that it was terrible and were even laughing at it. I think that despite her bad runway, her placement was justified this episode because she was really funny and much better in the challenge than the bottom queens imo. The look was atrocious, but there were simply queens that did worse and her performance this week totally wasn't BTM2 worthy.

I'm actually shocked Bob and Monet thought Tina destroyed Utica in the lip-synch. I legit thought it was the other way around. Tina and her whole sliding thing was weird and just looked out of place/desperate to me and Utica just served face and moved around so much in that gown and it was interesting to watch.

Kandy should have been in the bottom. I personally didn’t care for her commercial either. But I would have happily had a double shantay this time. It to me would have been more deserved than the previous one. Nearly every time Tina got bad reviews from the judges I was thinking she much better than they said. The Rusical and the commercial is a prime example of that.
