I have simple rule in my house for my kids you are brothers and friends and Allah put you together to protect each other play with each other and support each other, if you have any disagreement or problem you need to logically discuss and if it gets to much simple soloution read auzu Billahi and you will feel much calmer or walk Away from the situation and then come back after you are calmer to sort that issue out, hitting each other pushing this is not allowed in the real world not in school and not in the progressional world, they 10.5 and 7.5 and 5.5 years old and they are doing amazing now this rule was placed in years ago when they were much younger, I never say your the oldest no they all have equal responsibility to behave and understand and solve, gives them a chance to think what is the best way right or wrong way to do things, if they still can’t decide or agree then it’s simple time out technique after that time is up then he has to go apologise hug kiss and move forward

I really like your advice regarding children matter ,I can do much relate to everything you say ,Alhumdulilah I hope everyone tries to follow this.i am the way I am because when I was little and the things that my parents did write or wrong I remember that and how that made me feel as a child ,that really helps me to understand and come down to my kids level to best understand them .be a friend with them they will do whatever you expect from them,give them a little authority some times and see how they use it ,don’t come across a monster to them ,because they will remember that for the rest of their lives.respect from children should come from within their hearts not because of fear of a parent,encourage your child even if their homework or exam papers did not have good grades still say well done you did this right I am sure you can do anything .
