Sicario - Alternate Ending

Playing around with Wondershare Filmora and felt this scene would have been a good place to end this FANTASTIC and AMAZING FILM!
If you haven't seen it, you need to watch it! Emily Blunt and Benecio del Toro are amazing.

Emily was entirely out of her depth, and Alejandro is the kind of hero we need and deserve a man that has nothing left to live for other than revenge. As much as some people might want to hate him, he is a hero in what he does.

@@MoffeeA453 I don't. She could have been killed three times in the first movie. Her character is threat to any operation. If this were a true op she would have been reassigned or the members of the team would have sent her a very clear message not to screw it up. She could have easily become collateral by her own team members and no one would have known or cared. They needed to have a strong female character instead her character wasn't strong but was an idiot. You know, maybe that's what they were going for.

@@dps6198I honestly think she was meant to represent "us" the viewer who doesn't fully understand how deep this war goes and how much blood is shed. That's why she's pretty much aloof and nieve throughout the film because we as the general public have no clue what's really going on down there.

She truly was an idiot the whole time and cocky but was shown how dark the world really is and she could have died if Alejandro allowed it. He did save her a few times or tried to warn 😂

emily's character represents the naive view of how the world is good vs evil and that justice always prevails and just how detached the average American is from the dark, violent reality most other people have to live in.

its not just Americans, it's anyone we see as Isolated and 'protected". Europe, Asia, anyone not in the know...

Isn't this the normal ending? It basically the same ending as the DVD and what I've seen on cable. I never saw it in the theater, so I don't know if it was changed or not.

Emily's character was out of her depth with Del Toro's, here. She wants to believe that everything can be fitted into a box of good and bad, where the Law makes it all make sense. He knows better-he's seen the worst, done the worst, lived through the worst. His character isn't a hero or a good man in any sense of the word. He's a necessary evil she cannot face... The two of them were the real draw of the film. My only complaint is that they didn't get her back for the sequel.

her story for this was done, there was little gained from telling more, she was never intended to turn into a bad ass. this is the perfect point to leave her at.
