Cooking prawn, scallop or squid are the fastest & easiest way of Chinese cooking, I can't comment much on your style of prep work however I been observant of your correct kitchen tools used like wooden spatula & tongs used, it impressed me , cut down on the soya sauce, bit too much, 2 tablespoon just nice with a twist of lemon juice will turn your guests / family on. Nice

I can substitute the Sichuan peppercorns with Andaliman peppercorns for this dish. Andaliman peppercorns are sort of peppercorns cultivated in Indonesia and eventually in China (They're called 刺花椒/cihuajiao). They're giving as numb as Sichuan peppercorns as well, but taste lemongrass-y. I have the article of this and put it down below. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andaliman
@cindymarroquin88485 жыл бұрын

I was going to do this exact recipe, but found your 'kit' in Coles. You have the seasoned flour, the spices and the sauce.....but no marinade...so I have gone back to this recipe and will do the soy and sesame marinade of the prawns and use the other 'pre prepared' ingredients. I don't do 'prawns' - I'm having home made mini pizzas - so I won't actually know how it turns out until the verdict comes in from the OH.....update will be coming🤣
