Love the videos and the interaction with your circus. I love how you not only show how to cook Chinese dishes, but you give a language lesson as well. My girlfriend is Chinese so it helps me learn more about food more familiar to her. She often cooks for me, love her steamed dumplings 🥟, so maybe just maybe I will surprise her one day by cooking a dish for her.

In my household my children clean up the dishes & all the condiments after dinner because my husband & I BOTH work & BOTH take turns making dinner. Therefore, they pitch in as a family & clean up! Your soup looks heavenly. Especially with this cold fall weather!

@Steven Chan why you acting like she doesn’t do anything tho like yes she’s rich but she has 4 kids to take care of?it’s not like she doesn’t work for it as well,she has her own cookbook coming and this channel so it’s not like she’s living off her husband’s wealth

@@shrekthehandsome4591 And let's not forget the reason he has that wealth is because she's built-in childcare. The average middle class family spends almost $20k in childcare when it is outsourced outside the family. When organizations decide on family wealth, they consider homemaking a standalone career because of the cleaning and childcare and cooking and and and and that goes along with it. A partner making 6 figures is estimated to relieve half of that value in in-kind benefits, which is why divorce laws are written the way they are.

this recipe is something unique and special for me because in russian cuisine we have pretty similar soup. it's made out of yellow peas too but we cook peas in one pot with stock for longer time so at the end peas fall apart and soup becomes kinda thick and creamy. we add some smoked pork to this soup and eat it not with rice but with bread or croutons. your soup is so familiar but very different at the same time for me. i'm impressed pea soup can be done in that unique way that i never knew before! thank you for your amazing videos, especially this one!!

Doesn't lard provide enough "oil" when you fry peas? I mean vegetable oil+lard isn't it getting too oily? Just asking because it's not clear to me in this recipe. Everything looks super delicious!

Yellow split peas, try the Indian stores. They sell both, with and without skin.
@andreafranco14772 жыл бұрын
This looks a lot like frijol con hueso (beans with bone) from Mexico. Traditionally the tail of cow is used but nowadays people prefer to use ribs as they are more meaty. We cook the bone broth with onion, garlic, a green chili and pepper corns along with Peruvian beans previously soaked overnight. Once the beans are soft and the meat is falling from the bone we add lots of chopped green onions and cilantro. And that's it! We serve it either over a bowl of white rice or with flour tortillas but I personally prefer the rice.
