I have many great memories of sichuan university. I came there right after u shot this video in end of october. unfortunately i had to leave in january already after only 3 months because of covid. I was supposed to study there for a whole year. Damn it. That could have been such a great experience. But at least i got to experience the 3 months. I am in love with the sichuan cuisine. Thx for the video :)

A chinese friend of mine from different city is currently studying in Sichuan University now, freshman. But I'm not sure what campus I didn't ask him about that, coz i thought there's no other campuses 😂. Another friend from Chengdu himself is having his postgrad studies there too, has his undergrad there too. Thanks for this Austin! (it makes me wanna study there hahaha)

Austin, from the gym， You walk toward the south facing south gate, see a crossroads, turn left there is faculty living area, The first store on the side of the road is noodles 🍜 restaurant, About 50 meters further down the lane, there is a dumpling restaurant with a wide selection of flavors. Next time when you are in wangjiang campus, If you do not want to go to the canteen to eat, and do not want to go out of school for food， you can go to these two restaurants, All taste good and the price is very cheap.

I graduated from sichuan university 15 years ago，5'43" It's my college. i was familiar with every corner Austin passed in the vedio，It brings back a lot of memories. School is almost the same as it was 15 years ago . Thank you Teacher Austin.

You can call the wok cauldron, i suppose. Nice leisurely tour of the university campus. Sometimes i like to do these aimless (sorta) wandering around of a semi familiar place myself. Helps to decompress. Btw, you look great after your weight loss!

Maybe next time you can go next door to what I think is the prettiest park in Chengdu, Wangjiang Lou Gong Yuan. It has mahjong, and verdant bamboo forest, the bamboo museum, the Wanjiang Pavillion, and the Memorial of the famed Chengdu Poetess Xue Tao.

All depends on where you were coming from, but the campus that I teach at - the Jiang'an Campus - that's pretty much across the street from the airport! So it might've been that one

No, this is a different campus: Huaxi (华西). I live closest to the campus with the dental school, so that'll probably be the campus tour I do next!

Ultimate's definitely not popular, but once you find a place to play and start doing it, you'll find a lot of curious onlookers and it's easy to recruit local people because it's such a novelty. That's what we did in Lanzhou - Ultimate game every Sunday! Now, we just toss the frisbee around and play a few other games - not so much Ultimate, but it's a thing! I know there's an Ultimate League somewhere in town who apparently take it REALLY seriously, and the Peace Corps people are big into it as well

Yeah, it's crazy. There are so many open spaces in lawns, parks, etc. that would be perfect to play on or just lounge around on....but the authorities say "NO - STAY OFF THE GRASS!! WE'RE NOT USING IT FOR ANYTHING, BUT DON'T TOUCH IT!!" We've been kicked off of so many green spaces, it's ridiculous. Not just us, but other people as well. We thought it was a foreigner thing, but no, it's everyone
