I hope all the tests come back normal and you don't have anything bad pop up. All doggies, no matter their size, are some of the most fierce and loyal friends we'll ever hope to have. As I've told you before, one of my Chihuahuas has canine epilepsy and he's 12 years old at present. I don't look forward to the day that he's no longer sleeping next to me. So my fingers are crossed that Porter is in good health and just had some tummy troubles. Porter, eat that chicken and cheese and get strong. Peace 🕊️ and Blessings to everyone on your end.

I’m glad Porter’s feeling better! He’s such a cute little guy. My chis were susceptible to pancreatitis, caused by giving them fatty treats. I used to give them peanut butter, but it’s too fatty. Same symptoms as Porter. So now I give my dogs boiled chicken or little chunks of microwaved (and cooled, obviously) sweet potato as treats. Sometimes a little bit of medjool date. They’re all low fat but the dogs love them. And the sweet potato and dates aid digestion. Plus, it’s super easy to hide pills in the sweet potato if they have to take meds. My chis never even noticed the pills because they wolfed down the sweet potato.

I love sweet potatoes! All my dogs got some as treats. Except my current little Chihuahua - she won't touch any kind of healthy veggies. Actually, if I put a little dab of sausage gravy on it she will eat a tiny piece, but only one. Any more she spits out. Makes me sad that I can't share any veggies with my dog. Never anything my big dogs would turn down. I don't give my dog peanut butter. It's ok once in a long long while but since a lot of companies been switching to fake sugar, I don't want to get complacent and forget to check the ingredients. Also, dog food does have expiration dates that stores will ignore, which can cause upset stomach.
