First steps for crisp blast beats. Kids (including myself when I was younger) think you just build up blasts by practicing the same RLRL between snare and ride. more to it than that. I learned that the hard way

I want a sickdrummer tutorial on foot technique. So hard to find any good videos about heel-toe/constant release/whatever techniques really fast double kick players use.

I have played "what's comfortable" for 17 years. I'm ready to get uncomfortable to learn something. I feel as though I am hitting a barrier at around 220 bpm where I can't get constant 16ths without extreme increases in effort over what I can sustain at 200-210. I can burst out 240-250ish 16th note groups but nothing more than a quad or maybe quint.

Play whats comfortable. i play flat footed and heel down. which is the untraditional way because its all ankle but that is whats comfortable for me. I have too long of legs for the heel up technique lol. find a pair of pedals that feel good to you and just play on them constantly. Dont focus on a certain technique that all these guys promote as "the secret" to fast double bass. There is no secret. Just practice with what your comfortable with
