We see that most of the group need people to look up to. Sam lost luke but now has Rufus and by extension homelander. Andre has his dad who he is now siding with over the group as he stays by his beside and doesn’t leave. Marie has Victoria and cate did have the dean until she takes her out

About the piss in the bottle. If you notice she never drank anything from that bottle and she has cameras in her office. It was only Teknight that drank from it.

Homelander wasn't created from scratch. He is likely the product of two supes: Soldier Boy is his dad and I theorize Stormfront is his mother, although he would have been implanted in a surrogate womb. Neither parent knew. When he was born they gave him high amounts of compound V. More than they give normal babies. And with him already being a supe baby it made him stronger than other supes.

You made a good point if the virus is attaching to compound v I think Ryan may be the only supe immune to it. Too bad Butcher had to mess up that relationship. Marie may also be the cure for the virus.
