When a patient is deemed terminally ill you will be amazed at how soon relatives who have not been in contact for years suddenly appear on the scene- just go get a cut of the will. A similar situation happened when my Dad was terminally ill with cancer. My mother and brother did nothing for him. I moved in for the last 2 months of his life, to look after him. The difference to the story is that my mother got everything, and my brother managed to get himself in a situation where he has got most of the money. It’s a very long and complicated story. I’m not bitter about it. Because I got to spend a lot of extra time with my Dad. We got to talk about everything, and say all the things a father and son could ever say to each other. I would rather have had the time with him, than any amount of money.
