Jeroen Tel I hear you man, I was in a dark place a few years ago. Your music inspired me to compose my own and it helped me so much :)

this was certainly better than I managed at the same age having been writing music for I guess around two years at that point. I'd love to see a similar style again from the great Jeroen Tel, something along the lines of theme like we have here as this is easily some of the finest music on C64

###### Anyone else immediately think of pirated software when this opened?? This song was used as the background music for a bunch of serial cracking software. I had no idea what it was from until listening to this youtube vgm playlist :')

This one, interestingly, sounds different to me than your other Dolby mixes in that the cross-channel separation doesn't feel to be there on my headphones (vs. say, Last Ninja 2 or Dominator). Just curious, did you change your approach since doing this 5 years ago? If you did, any chance I could talk you into doing a full stereo mix? ;-) And thank you again so much for making these.

This is mono, so there is no stereo separation of voices. But even this mono sounded better with the Dolby effect compared to pure mono audio (to me at least). In the Last Ninja 2 full OST upload, its 3 voice channels were manually moved to 100% left or right before the Dolby effect, so real stereo separation there. Dominator is similar but dead center is used too. I don't do much "stereo Dolby" anymore. Lately my SID music uploads have been mostly dual mono Dolbyfied. 2 real SID chips, one assigned to left and the other right, both output same audio. Due to slightly different playback characteristics, they can provide rather nice pseudo-stereo effect at best. Try this as an example kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZzXZIWCj7uXac0

The stereo mix for Cybernoid II already exists. Sometimes you really should read video descriptions :)
