Race tracks need to weld the chain link fence support pipes and the caps in place rather than just press fitting them together. This would add considerable strength. The insurance companies should mandate it in the future.

That is one of the scariest crashes I’ve seen at Waterford in a long time. Glad he was ok and I certainly don’t blame him for being mad- that was completely unnecessary. I take it they’re going to finish the race in the spring?
