Sid, Poilievre won't read the report because it will handcuff him from doing anything about it, speaking on it, anything. You heard what Elizabeth May and Jagmeet Singh had to say after they supposedly read the report. Their respective stories were very different. What Dominique Leblanc said in the HoC was ridiculous. If a sitting MP engaged in foreign interference schemes and these schemes are a direct conflict of interest, illegal activity, whatever, they need to be charged and criminally prosecuted. Canadians also deserve to know who these MPs are. These MPs were democratically elected by Canadians, and in essence, work for the people. We have laws and rules in this country that govern what MPs are allowed and not allowed to do. If an MP made a decision to NOT follow these rules and laws then they need to face the consequences directly, publicly. This aura of secrecy under the guise of "protecting intelligence" is b.s. The Liberals are playing this game because they know it makes them look really bad. If not, we wouldn't be talking about this.

Dominic Leblanc just said it would he would face criminal charges if the names were released. Crimes do harm to people. MPs, sitting or not, are people. You can't be serious Sid. Some MPs might've wanted greater partnerships with certain countries, but if the foreign election interference was criminal or actually illegal, then charges would've been laid against the people involved, MPs or not. Are foreign powers working to persuade Canada one way or the other or the other? You betcha. At the leader level, diplomatic level, social networking level, corporate level, small business level etc. We're also doing the same to other countries. When it is done ILLEGALLY, like via some sort of extortion or major crime / bullying as happened in BC, then this problem becomes escalated to something far worse. Don't sit here and pretend that anyone who has any foreign ties, in terms of friends in different places around the world in high positions, is now an immediate security threat. It is so much more complicated than that. I'm liberal, and I should be most mad at Pollievre for not even wanting the clearance to talk about it but the reason I'm not that mad is because May is assuring us that it's not criminally bad, and that Singh doesn't have many friends in other countries and is trying to demonize everyone who does. The information WE have on the report is vague. Foreign interference suggests involvement in election process, which could be simply supportive / financial towards threatening or violence, the latter of which is the biggest issue in my opinion. Good for you for calling out the conservative leader but don't then also assume that the list of names who have worked with people who tried to "interfere" with the election process is now somehow something we need to wave around on stick. Please, that's pathetic. If they committed actual crimes then they will be prosecuted for it. The report is talking about the connections that exist that COULD potentially cause criminal acts in the future, and how to prevent against it now with the knowledge they have. It probably has examples of some past MPs who have had ties to somewhat questionable foreign groups *coughConservativePartyxRepublicanscough* but there's equivalent counters to this so it is what it is. As for the criminal behaviours, again, those were looked into prior and people were charged/dismissed as MPs over it. So chill out
