Notice how Sid started off very excited and curious about what is going on but as it got deeper and deeper he lost all interest. This is weird since Sid is supposed to be a character who wants to learn, but he is a child, when all the magic gets exposed to just being a bunch of technology and boring code he loses it. His parents literally had to wipe his memory just so he can retain his childlike innocence. Quite weird you can get a deep view on modern day life from a mediocre children's cartoon show.

This moment is kind of dark if you think about it: at first Sid is very confused anout what are those people doing and why do they look different to the people of his world, later he gets amazed how they could replicate him, but slowdly realizes that he is nothing but a digital puppet and a fake person whose existence is from people replicating him and all of his relatives. So when Sid escapes, he looks clearly scared and panicked and wants to forget his real origin and existance.

In a way, it kind of was. The joke at the start of the episode was that this was a sexual innuendo. The parents getting all awkward, when Sid asked where he came from could have been interpereted as a double-meaning. Either they could have been acting strange because Sid just asked the ultimate question about the other side of the fourth wall or they're nervous because they have to explain sex to their 5-year-old kid.

This cartoon came out when I was already in high school I remember my brother really liking the show at the time I think he was around four anyways I’m so glad this was never aired because not only did I get creeped out even though Im a grown woman the way it was executed it was so different from the actual show that it would have thrown off the kids I think...and gave some nightmares...Sid looked extremely uncomfortable...that part made me cringe too...

I never seen this as a young child when I was constantly watching Sid the Science Kid, and it was probably the best that I didn't.... this is funny to see years later. I never seen Sid be less curious in the entire run of the show, seeing him slowly get more awkward and then fully terrifed is truly..... its because its a childrens show, and he slowly comes to the realization that he isnt even real which sends him through a mental crisis. then his parents just wipe his memory, which when you think about it means they've likely done this multiple times. keep in mind this is a show for toddlers, and not meant for comedy (an educational program) this would definitely disturb a child seeing one of their favorite characters in so much distress.
