Side by Side Airbrush System Comparison

[UPDATE 2021] As of 2019 I switched to using the mini handheld cordless airbrush machines that are made for makeup and baking applications. I found these small units to be much easier to use, just as effective, and cheaper when purchased through AliExpress. There are a number of them available through Amazon as well. Hi Anita...I had been in the market for an airbrush but was so confused until I saw your video! Wow thank you so much for taking the time to do this, based on your video I chose the Micheal's brand, Sweet Shop. I had a 50% off coupon so I went for it and I absolutely LOVE my airbrush and compressor! I am having so much fun with it and it works like a charm, absolutely no complaints with it. Hi Kim! I don’t have a newsletter. The sign up on my blog is for notifications of future blog posts and as you can see I haven’t added new content to my blog in about forever. As a follow up to this video, while I personally preferred one over the others they all do a good job at decorating cookies. Actually, at this point I’m not using any of these but instead am using a cordless handheld airbrush gun I got on AliExpress. It’s more convenient and inexpensive. Iris, you might check into the UK based Dinky Doodle airbrush system. It's very similar to the Genie AirPro shown in my video and is another version of the now discontinued Pegasus airbrush system that was quite popular among bakers. www.dinkydoodle.co.uk/Products.html

Eric and Tracye Johnson You’re welcome! Ultimately I think all of them are so similar that all will work about the same. I’ve actually switched since this video was made to inexpensive cordless handheld airbrush systems that I buy on AliExpress. They’re at least half the price.

I'm a ground floor rookie and just found your video (thank you for this great video!!!) and have a question. Does each color used, require an additional gun or clean the gun when finished with a color??? I know it's a rookie question, but I may have missed this.

Thank you. When making videos I need to make them shorter than I’d like at times because people tend to prefer brief but full content. Also everyone reads at different rates so it’s hard to find that perfect speed. Thus the beauty of the pause button :)

Thanks so much for this video! I just bought the sweet shop airbrush yesterday and came across this this video by accident. Glad I did, I think I’ll return it for the Artfully Designed Creations gun. I like the ease of cleaning and the option available to get a replacement gun benefits with the ADC gun, if necessary. You did a great job at clearly comparing all guns and it was very informative. This video is super helpful! One question- is it possible to use a gun from one system with a machine from another? For example can you plug an ADC gun into the Sweet Shop unit?

The ADC gun was at the time of this video and I believe until now, the only gun that’s not interchangeable. All the other guns are essentially the same, made in China and cosmetically customized for the different brands. The ADC gun was made specially for the ADC system.

@@SweetHopeCookies Thank you so very much. I bought an expensive one for my daughter and found out she has a certain makeup she uses only, so I had this one in my closet for over a year. The only thing is there is no high low button on it, the high, low is in the trigger part. But, if I practice with it I am sure I could get used to it. Thank you so much for your videos they sure do help a lot. I watch every new one you have on.

The one by Artfully Designed Creations but I’ve used them all and they’ve all done the job. I primarily like the Artfully Designed one because it seems to create a finer mist and does better with pearlized and metallic sprays.
