The new reimagined one is going to also have a tunnel I heard so it’s going to carry over the spiral lift hill the track that goes around the lift hill and the tunnel. And it looks like a way more fun intense ride. The old zinger looks like a roller coaster tycoon creation

Great side-by-side comparison. I just don't understand their thinking of turning the great original Zambezi Zinger into a wooden GCI.

Cedar Fair and WOF have a great working relationship with GCI. GCI has a new track concept (Titan Track) they wanted to try out that has the capability for spiral lift hills, tight twisted turns, along with other elements not seen on the new coaster. WOF being a smaller Cedar Fair park, badly in need of a new coaster, it was a good fit for reimagining the old ride while working out a new concept to see if it will work well for other (larger) parks in the chain. Think of it as a proving ground of sorts for possible future coasters in the chain. I admit I’m a little disappointed they didn’t do more with it, but I hear this is only a stepping stone for things to come (possible Orient Express Reimagining coming 2025?) so 🤞 we see more love for this forgotten (Cedar Fair) park.

@@rustyshackleford6746 'proving ground for GCI, I think they also want their name to be known for creating fun mildly thrilling family coasters. If six flags manages to survive and follow through on their new family focus, they are going to need to actually build family and 'stepping stone' coasters that are actually fun for a lot of parks.
