Very good video Chris. It takes some practice to master a technique. Good Fishing Sir.

Thanks for the great demo. I’ve caught quite a few vids of yours tonight. I’m ready to put my fly set to its first use tomorrow and you’ve improved my confidence. Liked and sub’d

Hi Chris, why do you insist on using a 9 foot 5 weight rod? Wouldn't it be more manageable to use a 7'6" 3 weight? An answer from you. Would be appreciate! Thanks

I'm not sure I fully understand what you are asking. It doesn't matter what size rod you are using. I am showing the technique which would be the same with all rods. If I was using this to catch snook and other saltwater fish from under docks I would probably be using a nine weight. If you are Targeting small trout and panfish a three weight would be perfectly fine. If you're asking why I am using the rod I do in the video it is because it shows up well on the screen because it is yellow with orange line.

Ok, unfortunately here, in Italy, we do not use such powerful rods. That is the reason I asked you. Thank you very much indeed!

What rod and reel do you use?

I have lots of different ones. This one is a Temple Fork with a Greys reel.
