I wanted to add from personally being an Ecologist. In general being a scientist can be one of the most dangerous jobs in the world depeneding on where you're working and which field it's in. For example in a lab around extremely dangerous and hazardous materials and chemicals. One wrong move and everyone can be in danger in a lab. And things like building fusion reactors and nuclear reactors for another example can if one miscalculation happens by some unfortunate moment of human error can cause dire consiquces. Exploring dangerous terrains like Antartica, parts of the Permafrosts in Russia and Arctic also incredibly dangerous. And scientists and rocket scientists and astranaughts involved in any space mission is probably the most nerve wrecking and potentiall dangerous thing anyone can ever be asked to do in thier lifetime. There's so many everyday jobs people do that no one thinks of that can (rarely but they do happen enough) have dangerous consiquences. Honourable mentions are- Surgeons, Miners aka mining work, sewer workers, construction workers, police officers, anyone in any military proffession, are at the risk of dying or many people dying at any given moment especially in an active warzone/evacuation mission in a hostile setting. Anaesthetists+Dentistry can be hazardous on the patient especially, cave divers, scuba divers, shark swimmers, search and mountain rescue teams. All risk thier lives or potentially the lives of others every day of the week without bad intentions by doing the right thing and making horrid mistakes. I thought i'd add some of the less mentioned ones no one thinks of. 🙂

However, something malfunctioned and the room caught fire. The only way out would be the staircase down but the staircase was surrounded by fire too. As someone who works with skydiving equipment every day, i can say they 100% don't jump INTO the fire, the canopy would melt if they got to close, it is extremely weak to fire and from the videos shown it looks like standard military equipment nothing special against heat/fire. They likely use it as a method of transportation a small distance away from the fire and i can only guess they also drop cargo out with its own parachute i.e. firefighting tools. Though i am not a firefighter and have never worked with them and while there are way to fireproof materials it has never been attempted on parachutes (though it is going to be soon) so i cannot say i know for sure their protocols for this.
