They Confederates were shooting at US Army soldiers! The Confederates are not American veterans, anymore than German soldiers were American veterans just because they fought in WWII like the Americans.

If you really want to consider a flag for the explicit cause of white supremacy "american" then you dishonor our country.

That one woman said “it’s unAmerican” She needs to read our Constitution! My family fought under that flag & It sure the heck wasn’t to preserve Slavery! Slavery was legal in the United States, and the states which formed the confederacy, did not have to secede to keep it legal by virtue of their small power in the Senate. Abolishing slavery required a constitutional amendment, and the southern states had more than enough votes for the 1/4 needed to block any such change! If the only goal of the southern states was to preserve slavery, they would have stayed in the United States, and simply blocked any contrary amendment proposed. Slavery was not the primary issue! Lincoln threatened bloodshed and invasion in his first inaugural address-if the South didn’t pay its Tariffs! That speech is also known as the slavery forever speech! Now you know why you only hear about his second inaugural address! Lincoln was a money hungry power driven racist tyrant!

That's not even the real Confederate flag. The one they are waving was a battle flag. The real Confederate flag looked more like the United States flag.

CALLED a "First National!" Some called it the "Stars and bars," "The Confederates States First National Flag. It had 3 stripes of Red, White and Red with a blue Canton that consisted of 9, or 11 white stars, in a circle pattern. Depending on state.

@@ford289cid7 Who was the American Veterans in the CIVIL WAR? They were ALL AMERICANS! YOU SERIOUSLY NEED A "TRUE" AMERICAN HISTORY LESSON. Two thirds of the ORIGINAL settlers in, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, ARE ALL FROM SOUTHERN FAMILIES. 2/3..... From Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky. And they still RESIDE IN THE NORTH! TODAY!!! "COUSINS!" These Southern States .... WASN'T STARTED as STATES! THEY ARE "COMMON WEALTHS!' FAMILY owned and Family GOVERNED....Individual extended family "OWNED," With each "Common Wealth" having shared EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS. These FAMILIES ECONOMICALLY BACKED THEIR "COMMON WEALTHS" WITH THEIR INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES WEALTH...THEY REFERRED TO THESE "COMMON WEALTHS," as "THEIR COUNTRIES!" Many of these FAMILIES were the signers of the "Declaration of Independence." And they also shared in other Families Common interest with "INVESTMENTS!" During the earliest days of the UNITED STATES of America: These "Common Wealths" covered a larger land masses, containing 2 or even 3 what is States TODAY! And their GEOGRAPHICAL boundaries were in much different places, than they are today. As ALL WARS are ABOUT MONEY and who Controls it. SAME is TRUE ABOUT THE AMERICAN "UN CIVIL WAR!" Before 1861, the USA did NOT have a "ONE," American CURRENCY in circulation amongst the citizens. When Abraham Lincoln and his REGIME of OUTSIDERS decided they were going to institute a "One American CURRENCY," into circulation.. And just told the Wealthy Southern Extended families, "That they were going to back the new CURRENCY". And in the Congress the Southern States Representatives (Extended families) were not allowed to participate, in the Law making PROCESS, for the new American ONE CURRENCY. Abe Lincoln and his REGIME put their new American "One CURRENCY" into circulation, with the Citizen. The Southern States Representatives responded by introducing a "COUNTERFEIT" American CURRENCY and DILUTING ALL THE NORTHERN STATES CURRENCY...MAKING IT "WORTHLESSNESS!" It is told that: "Abraham Lincoln went ballistic, on the Congress Floor stating: " He and the new Republican Representatives REGIME would OWN everything these Southerners had, OWNED before they were through!" And They were going to get their CURRENCY backing, at gun point. Where DID ALL THE SOUTHERN WEALTH GO, AFTER THE CIVIL WAR?

@@savanahmclary4465: You're spouting nonsense. Whether you are a state or a commonwealth, you are still governed by the US Constitution which treats all states and commonwealths the same. Also, the Constitution says, in Article I, Section 8, sentence 5, that Congress _alone_ has the right to coin money. Your post is a raving rant with no connection to reality.

@@ford289cid7 The Common Wealths Existed long before there was a Constitution, or A Declaration of Independence, or mention of States ..or the United States of America... EXAMPLE: The Common Wealth of Virginia consisted of Virginia, the Eastern part of Tennessee and the Northern part of North Carolina: and ALL of West Virginia and ALL of Kentucky, to the OHIO River. And the Kentucky part of the extended Family...Took control of their part and paid for what is now the "Common Wealth of Kentucky," At one time ... Tennessee was the STATE of Franklin...Owned and controled by Ben Franklin and, to some degree. The Quakers...Just as the Common Wealth of Pennsylvania was. And they were ALL formed by Families Protestant Religions. You can twist it and lie about it all YOU want. But it doesn't mean it did NOT HAPPEN.. FOR These Families are still RIGHT HERE. And the indoctrination materials, of today, are not ever going to tell you this. But at least you heard it once. The Quakers were the earliest Europeans to land on North America. And it was there wishes, to never allow any other immigrants, on North America without their approval. The Quakers would meet every incoming ship, 5 miles off shore, in the Atlantic Ocean. And the Quakers would board every ship and interview each passenger. If the passenger did NOT meet the Quakers approval, they remained on the ship and returned to EUROPE. Many ENTIRE ships' passengers were denied the right to remain in North America and when they floated back into the ports of EUROPE: every passenger had died at sea. These ships, with the dead passengers, became so Common, they were called "COFFIN SHIPS!" The UNITED States of America did NOT START AS A "MULTI CULTURAL MELTING POT." And the term did NOT exist until after 1880.

@@savanahmclary4465: More nonsense. The supposed State of Franklin was an area of North Carolina that was given by that state to the Federal government in lieu of paying their share of the American Revolution. The Fed government didn't accept it, and eventually it was included in the new State of Tennessee. They named it Franklin hoping to get Franklin's support for statehood, but he Franklin did not give that support. He certainly never owned it, nor did his family. You are entirely nuts.
