More amazing good work! It always surprises me how much in a row these cemeteries are. It is hard to imagine how it looked during most of these burials. No trees, much open space. My thoughts go directly to the souls buried here and know they would be greatful for the care and attention, efforts and work that you and now Cecil have invested. No greater respect can be shown than to care for someone, a people, one has never met. Caring when they can't, forgotten yet remembered across time. Faceless but not souless. Character and heart shows thus. Thank you for showing us how selfless a person can be. Great part 5!! Enjoyed!! ❣️❣️👍👍❣️❣️👍👍

Your work really is important. Restoration of a cemetery is a very honorable and moving job. Having done that myself in the past I can suggest that you need a probe, much like Cecil was using the wire on the flags. You can walk and probe pretty much every inch of land. You will find things that way that were buried for years. You also need a shovel. Buried markers should be raised up as it won t take long for them to be buried and lost again. Using a shovel along the edge, you can pop them up. Shovel😊 that dirt back into the hole and replant that stone. We made probes by putting screwdriver shafts into old broom handles . We also found old tooth brushes worked the best to remove growths and dirt from letters and numbers on stone I am proud of you and your work to preserve those old cemeteries. It is a very important step in historic Preservation and to return some dignity to the people buried there. Excellent work, Robert and Cecil!

You guys deserve the NOBEL PRIZE for this kind of work. Gone, but, not forgotten for the peoples of the past. Trying to bring some kind of long awaited justice for the wrongly enslaved who suffered so much at the hands of their cruel captors to only know freedom when their bodies can not go on any further and die and meet the kindest man who hung on the cross for mankind’s sins 2000 years ago. I hope you consider to have a preacher come out to the cemetery and say prayers over these poor souls as I don’t think they had this done when they died just because these folks were saw as property. I think it’s a rightful thing to do after the restoration work is done, graves uncovered such and recorded. The property should have a standing plaque saying the name of the cemetery and the family names that’s found in the cemetery. Maybe the families of these folks are still alive who knew these folks. Good job Robert and Mr Cecil for restoring this important resting place.

Thanks Robert for caring about the history and the people who are buried here. And, thanks Cecil for bringing the tools to help find and clean off these graves. You both have roles to play to locate and document these historic Georgia burial places. Finding that 8-year-old's grave under the boxwood bush was a special discovery. I hope you can both return with maybe rakes and a pair of loppers and further clean off around these forgotten graves so that they can be seen again until the leaves and rain combine to once again bury them.

Amazing what this cememetery looks like NOW as compaired to when you first went out there to find more damage done, and then to take your time to do the right things and little by little start cleaning this land up, and trying to locate all those laid to rest here, is amazing. And Now to have Cecil out there to help you in whatever way he can, and to have that probe as well as tools for over growth and a brush?? awesome! Great that you not only find graves under the boxwoods but also a full headstone slab that you both uncovered as wel, Of Grady Terryl[ Hope if you come out again you can maybe futher expose the full headstone??.. Figured, with as long as I have been watching you and Cecil in cemeteries, that usually when there are Daffy's and other flowers planted around the ground, usually tells me there is a person laid to rest in that spot. Maybe a good idea to get a grave probe, like what Cecil has, when you are out on your own??
