This is one of the best videos. My Mother was a bookkeeper and she worked at a drug store doing the books for many years. Rexall drugs in Lakeland Florida. I was raised in a drug store.. I am 60 years old. She started working at the drug store when I was 3 years old. Will never forget the little restaurant in the store. Thank you guys for all the adventure's. I am always Watching. This was a great video, they just keep getting better. While others always visit the big corporate type tourist traps that are just about money, Robert takes us to the heart of America and it used to be, the small towns and businesses that made the South and America so special. I love the volunteer in this video, what a sweet southern lady! I wonder what a new air conditioner would cost for that building? The only thing needed would the the air conditioning unit itself, the rest of the system would be in the building. Possibly an air conditioner installer might even have a good used unit that was traded in. I'd be willing to donate towards an air conditioner, how bout anyone else?

Growing up in N E Arkansas I remember these old pump hand held sprayers to kill mosquitos. Used every night. During the day in town a old truck with a big tank on it came around at evening time and fogged the town. These old places are so rich with history that no matter the state in the south we all used the same things. What a treasure.

What breaks my heart is that Lumpkin is a totally dead town. It was once a nice bustling community, but once they made 431 a direct route to Panama City (along with Ft. Benning taking over South Lumpkin Rd) it was doomed to whether on the vine. It along with Ft Gaines has a rich history, but like the rest of Stewart County and the stores in town, it has been totally bypassed.

Remember some of that stuff in my grandparent's house. They would always use the sprayer. I bought them a can of Raid once. Grandmama asked how she was supposed to get it from that can into her sprayer. I just shook my head and said never mind. We had a working soda fountain in our neighborhood when I was a kid. Anything and everything a kid could want. Nice trip down memory lane.

In my elementary school in Kenton, Tennessee, we had a 3rd grade Teacher, there for years and she was the local favorite. Mrs Margaret *Lumpkin,* truly ahead of her time, she used Behavioral Management techniques to get the best behavior and performance out of her students. Positive Reinforcement, various perks were awarded for good to exceptional behavior and work. I wonder if her husband was related to the Georgia Town Founder. Best Thoughts to Ms Margaret Lumpkin's Soul, God sure gave her some special energies. ❤📚❤ ____________________________ Also, I'm a Lynch, my Mother's maiden name.
