No question. Sid’s quick release is insane. It’s one of the key reasons he’s been able to remain such a prolific scorer for so long. Opposing goaltenders have trouble anticipating when he’s going to put a shot on net. And because his blade is almost flat, he can just as easily go backhand as fore.

Crosby may have "passed the torch" to McDavid as the league's Best player .... but above the shear numbers alone , Crosby possesses the Drive and Passion to LEAD any team he is on. And to me , Crosby is still the All around best player. He has that very rare ability to get Better in the games that mean the most. Best in the league still, McDavid is close, but I still edge Crosby just by a bit. Crosby seems a little more complete of a player. I will give Mcdavid credit he is by far the fastest player in the league though.

Yeah sorry but the torch has been passed. McJesus scored 19 more points than Crosby last year. In fact, if you look at their 5v5 production McDavid scored 88 points on even strenght, against Crosby's 51. If anything, Crosby's point total is inflated by a really strong powerplay(38 of 89 points on it) of the Pens, where as McDavid and the Oilers are the complete opposite spectrum of the scale(20 of 108 points).

The thing with Crosby is he changes the entire dynamic of his line. Everybody on his line instantly becomes better because he has the ability to see and setup plays

Pectus 1 Mcdavid is a one sided player in his career at the moment because he’s still young and needs to develop on the other side of the ice. Crosby is a complete 2 way player. Points don’t tell the whole story, Crosby was putting up ridiculous numbers when he came in the league. Mcdavid doesn’t have 2 other players on his team who hit 90+ points. The point is if Crosby was on Edmonton he’d have the same point totals as mcdavid because Edmonton relies on mcdavid to create all the opportunities, Crosby has Kessel and malkin to help carry the load.

Said it before and I’ll say it again. Best Crosby videos, by a mile. I feel like every one of your subscribers understand the overwhelming joy that surges the instant we see you’ve put up a new video. It’s always worth the wait. This is my first time stating that I believe McDavid has surpassed him. However that’s a testament to how incredible McDavid is because to think there could be a better play does not seem possible. And every time I watch one of your videos I seem to get dragged back over to, hm maybe Crosby IS still the best. I think if you were to create the perfect hockey player you’d give Crosby a 5/5 in every area of like ten aspects of the game. Now, McDavid would get a 4/5 in at least half of those. BUT, the clincher is, McDavid, would get a 6/5 in the other areas. That’s by I put him ahead. He is simply on a different level than everyone else. When I see Crosby I think wow he must of had to work to get that good. When I see Connor it’s not that he didn’t work for it (he did) I think someone used this to describe Messi and Ronaldo. One is the greatest human hockey player alive. It’s just the other, is a god. McDavid not only moves at that insane speed, his mind processes the game at the same pace, with the hands to match. It makes him seem not human. That’s why he’s first. When I see Crosby I think, man if you work hard you can achieve all your goals. When I see McDavid I think, why bother. I am never gonna be that good. I could out work him, go nuts, and I will still, never be that fast. I see a lot of areas of Crosby’s game you can find a way to learn. I don’t feel that way won’t Connor. Someone someday will make him look human, and that’s just how it goes, but for now that seems impossible just like it did with Crosby. Huge respect for both. Besides, you never know who McDavid would be if he hadn’t had Crosby as his idol. Each generation affects the next.
