It's easy to think he would dominate that much more back in the day but just look at what Lemieux did in 2002. He could barely skate and hadn't played any meaningful hockey in yrs, he goes to the Olympics and dominates. You can only judge players vs their peers. Crosby is a top 10 all time talent likely.

Mcdavid does not have the strength that Crosby has. He has to make up for it with speed. Most people try to compare the Crosby apple to the Mcdavid orange but the simple fact is that they play two different games with similar career trajectories. Crosby is a bit more well rounded and dynamic and stronger with the puck. Mcdavid is just lightning fast and doesn't lose his game the faster he plays. And no one else really does what either of them do. And that makes them great.
