hey, it's great to hear this work and see what patch layouts look like for these sounds. I would have loved to see this as a video, though. I'm super into a lot of the sounds Sidrax (and many of Peter's instruments) can make--and I'm also really annoyed by a bunch of them. My hesitation has always been on the grounds of wondering "is this a viable performance instrument for me? can I produce the sounds I wish to and avoid the ones I don't like?". I've seen a handful of performances with Peter B synths, and it's about 50/50 on whether I like it, but when I do, I love it. I think showing a top-down video of the performances might help a potential convert decide how reliably reproducible these gesture-based controls are. I guess you can do just about anything with practice!

Thanks, it was new territory for me to tie in audio to the patches in the guide. I landed on this format because, well it’s all I know how to do since I’m not set up in anyway to record video. Ultimately I figure it’s all about the sounds so let the audio speak for itself. The other thing is that top down video can’t show the super subtle gestures used when playing Sidrax. It’s incredibly sensitive and I’ve found that playing it is all about using your ears, especially because of the release sound. About live performance, I don’t have experience playing it live, but if I did I’d be careful. Lastly, the fact that you hear things you love and hate coming out of CL speaks to their versatility. They are highly flexible and give you the freedom to make a wide variety of sounds you like. If you want to guarantee you don’t make sounds you hate live, then it’s all about practice as you said.

Hey! Is it Sidrax alone?

Believe it or not, yes! There's reverb on it, but no other instruments were harmed.
