We can pardon him for two reasons, why he did so. Firstly, he maybe had heel of Achilles and secondly, that was an Ashigaru soldier, a conscript, who had to fight because of his duty, but he had not the true spirit of samurai.

You know taking an arrow to the knee can kill you.. first of all breaks the knee cap, causing your leg to buckle and you to fall down since your damn knee just got blown out, you'd be lucky if the knee fragments at the point dont do the cutty cutty on your artery and if you get shot with an arrow you'd have a decent chance of death since medical treatments weren't good then

Why are japanese castles made so easily scaleable? Those guys didn't even need ladders or anything. Even the actual wooden palisades and walls seemed to have convenient foot- and handholds built-in.

4:48 AM 11/22/2020 Do people still play this? I miss the old days too you guys. Dont you think its kind of weird how a DLC just comes out of nowhere for an old game? Is Time Commanders back on tv and are they doing Japanese battles now too? If I knew how to exaggerate my campaigns as the faction Im playing as and make movies like CA did for the battles I would. Do it only to the major battles where its like 3 vs 1 and high chance to lose.

I'd say it's for against arrows while retreating. The other more possible reason is that during gameplay the player could more easily identify the unit of his general.

It was called horo, it was used to protect the user from arrows while they are riding on horseback.

The thing that bothers me about the generals is that: Arent those Balloons on back actually making it harder for them? I mean i get that people need to differentiate generals from cavalry, but i would mostly use samurai cavalry without banners. I dont know if these balloon things were in real life but i would say they would make it harder for generals to move, harder than those banners on back

Maybe you should not use the blood pack in shogun 2 videos. It looks pretty awful and absolutely not realistic in contrast with the rest of the elements of the video, which is great.

You could remove the blood pack, and then add a mod that adds small blood mists when missiles hit. I know it's an old mod somewhere
