This cinematic is literally Thrall passing off his duty as warchief yet again. Goddamn Thrall, you might figure out the horde has gone to hell since you started doing that gay shaman shit. Literally, Thrall was the best warchief, held the horde together and was able to sort out so much crap. Then he decided to go get laid and settle down in shaman oaks retirement home. Waste of a good character by blizzard. Also, everyone still obviously respects Thrall, and sees him as the leader. Varian even looks to Thrall for confirmation that Vol'Jin is who he should be speaking to. You can tell Thrall is still the leader because whoever HE nominates as leader becomes the leader. They don't vote on it or anything that would make sense to pick a new leader. Thrall literally straight up tells them who is gonna be speaking for the Horde in his absence. Waste of a good character by blizzard.

feel ya man. like characters like him, if they want to toss them to the side... you should just kill them or something along the line. Not this bs where it's like... we want to change things up... but we obviously want this dude to come back. Like what they did with Varian Wrynn, the alliance has always been this rock solid, unchanging force. You could only really that the expansions were changing with the change of Anduin's character model if you were only looking at the alliance as refference. They clearly wanted to change the mood by forcing an underaged and untested kid to be the king. which showed that the alliance was very fragile during the transition. Imagine if Varian was like "pfff the legion is coming? Anduin got this. Imah just go retire now and find my self a new wife"

she used to be bloodthirsty in a similar manner to Garosh after the what was basically nuking of theramore. She had to go thru a lot of turmoil afterwards to learn to find forgiveness for the modern day Horde.

@@gutaishot2363 That's not exactly the real thing that made her so angry. First, Garrosh destroyed Theramore and killed many people, especially Rhonin and her apprentice. She forgave the Horde. But after that, the Sunstrider's leader betrayed her and stole the divine bell and helped Garrosh, and almost killed Anduin. After this second betrayal, she became completely mad and purged Dalaran. But that's not the Theramore destruction which was the point of no return for her.

@@kaptenbear1395 Voljin was not a poor Warchief. He could have been one of the greatest, but blizzard killed him off to make Sylvanas the main character for a few expansions (that worked out great. Good job blizzard.) Trolls are often very spiritual, so it would make since that in his dying moments he would turn to the spirits for guidance on who should lead. He had no way of knowing that the loa god of death Muhzalah (who the jailer had recruited) would be the one he would reach. I really hope that the next horde Warchief is cool and actually sticks around without becoming the villain. I'm hoping either Baine, maybe thrall, talanji would be cool, but unlikely as she's already the queen of the zandalari, or a new character they could introduce. I don't like the idea of the Horde sticking with a boring council.

He knows that the motives of their spirits are fickle as fire, fire will warm your house and cook your food but the moment you turn your back on it, it will burn down. And he knows there are evil spirits, aswell. That he should blindly followed what some spirit that he couldn't identify said, even as it screamed against his own opinions. Imagine if it was Hakkar, Muehzala is just as bad, but just imagine if it was. Or Bwonsamdi, Vol'jin is not a friend of his either - since Bwonsamdis motives are often.. Very unaligned with the living. But ultimately, yes, you are right - this was Blizzards idea, and it sucked ass and swallowed.

i think they're fine as npc's just for the comical aspect of the side stories but not as playable races. They look silly just as Po looks in Kung Fu Panda, the difference is the movie is from Disney while these come from a game that is all about war. So yeah, i partially agree. The expansion was was between mediocre and bad not just because of thematics but also bc the gameplay was not at its best. But perhaps the thing that bothered me the most thematically, aside from pandaland, was that they ruined Garrosh during this expansion.

@@BenDover-gc4xs there were like 1-2, ehh raids, most of them were good. PVP during MoP was fucking awesome, PVP wne to shit in WoD, so I quit the game.

@@jadenstar1038 only last season of mop was good. And even that season in specific wasn't as good as sny in wotlk or tbc. In terms of pve, dungeons were not good at all and only some boss fights from SoO and ToT were good. All things considered, saying mop was a great expansion feels absurd imo. Tho i must say there were far worse expansions like WoD or BfA
