Siemens FS 140 Surge Protection Device Install

As we continue to make progress on our overall electrical system, in this video we install our whole home surge protection system. We chose the Siemens First Surge FS-140 Surge Protection Device. Follow along to see how we installed them and why we used two.

Clean install my friend! I'm doing one in an existing panel, so I can't get it at the first land from the main freed. But, as long as the runs from the FS140 are short and straight, it'll work. Job well done, best to you and yours.

did you know those sharp tip screws are in fact a violation to be inside the panel. If you look at service panels, the front cover screws that hold on the front, have screws that are not pointed. Also that 90 degree fitting is not weather rated outdoor wet location, not prudent, no gasket on threaded end?

No rodents around the building, they just like a few pieces of equipment. Barn cats will eventually be part of the equation. Unfortunately for now we continue to try other means.
