Siemens IQ500 - Cotton 90C

Today I am washing for the first time my 13 Tog 200x200 Winter Duvet in my Siemens IQ 500 Wash&Dry machine
The selected program is Cotton 90C, 1400 RPM Spin on wash only (due to the Bulkiness of the Item I changed the spin speed during the interm spins to 600RPM however made sure to change it back to 1400 for the final spin)
For anyone who wants to know I used Ariel Bio Powder and 5ml Lenor Summer breeze conditioner to stop the static charge while drying.

I have the 2012 iq500 and for some reason it goes mental with stuff like that in there. Always unbalanced and sometimes it jumps

oh wow this sounds like your shocks are dying out :( We have the same problem with our 2004 Siemens and I had to change the shock absorbers twice now.. On heavy use shocks normally don't last longer then 6 years so it might be time for you :/

@@WasherIQ it started doing this unbalanced spin behaviour after 8 years. It would normally stop and retry. Machine is from my parents. Im not entirely sure it shocks yet but some signs like unbalanced spin, weird knocking sounds are pointing towards it. It will stay in service until my parents think its time for repair. Also the pump has been making a sound where it sounds like there is always foam inside it.

Frau M I really hope so too! It looks like it is good quality (I mean yes it's a Siemens) Sadly most washer dryers have a lifespan of 5 years 🤷🏻‍♂️

Siemens IQ500 WT yea I wish it was more too! But because the drum is so massive (10KG 70L Drum) due to the Gforce it creates while spinning it actually performs amazingly and makes sure everything comes out very dry :)
