Siemens WG56 IQ700 - Cottons 30°C varioSpeed with full load

This is the Cottons 30° cycle with varioSpeed selected. It is slightly different from the previous series as all temperatures on varioSpeed up to 60°C are now 1.31, whereas 60 would take 1.40 before and cold-50 1.27. One other difference is that even on varioSpeed it will now do the long powerSpeed spins in the wash like the longer cycles do, and will also do one towards the end of the wash.
This cycle is designed to only wash 5kg, however adapts well to a full load and always performs brilliantly at full capacity.

Great video.. there’s some great improvements here especially the fact the power spins are now fast. I’m not sure if it’s an iDos thing or an improvement overall but the load sensing is equally much shorter than the previous generation. Also nice to not have the really long length build spins, definitely helps with programme time. And glad that even with speed they’ve kept the full length final spin. Thanks for uploading.

No "improvement" at all - grotesque unbalanced spin, VERY noisy , bad frame, inadequate shock absorbers and springs.... cheap quality? But expensive ... We pay for the brand. But the brand is no more.

i'm actually pleasantly surprised by this. the balancing is not as bad as i was expecting, and the final spin had a good length hold especially for having speed enabled. i'm also pleased to see the interms holding on speed. hope to see the full length version one day 👍🏻

It’s not bad is it, glad that you like it :). Improved on what was already a good formula. I’ve levelled the machine a bit more and positioned it slightly forward than where it was so I think that’s helped the 3G vibration sensor with the balancing. It’s such a good cycle for heavily soiled big loads, despite only being labelled for 5kg that I rarely use the full cycle - but of course I will film it in time :-)

The final spin is the same as the range like mine from what I can see. Just there’s no longer the really slow build which I think Jon’s is better not having that as it does really add the time on.

Thank you :). The motor does sound different on the newer range. If you select idos it fills through the cascade for the first rinse, if you select manual dose then it fills through the manual section to the side of the tub 😊

The faster long spin washes aren’t new.. my older generation does these too. It’s just that they now do these on speed whereas on the previous generation like mine only way to get these on speed is by choosing the pre-Wash or changing the temp during the initial fill only with an extra rinse chosen. It’s nice this cycle now does them as standard like in the full length cycle.

Do you have this connected to only cold water, or both cold and hot? I’m curious to understand if there is any efficiency if you have both connections when it comes to heating?

This machine is connected to cold water only, unfortunately there aren’t many machines available here with hot fill. The efficiency depends on your water heater, if you have a heat pump or solar hot water it would be more beneficial to have a hot fill.

Thanks :). I find it uses more than enough water and rinses perfectly (fills to the level of the seal), but there is the option to add water if you want to. Water doesn’t need to be visible to do a good job 😊

@@TheWashHouse probably it's because on video it's so difficult to see the real water level. Also you washed dark garments, so it was more difficult to see. I love Bosch/Siemens products. I have an 8 Series dryer and I love it
