Thanks for the review, you sold me on it, and I'm real excited to get this in. It'll be my first pack for anything more than a day hike! Seems like a great price for all the praise it gets.

Nice video live to see comparisons of 40 to 60 and the 60 to 75 for size reference. Or review on 60-75. They are never in stock so would have to buy them rerun

I have the 40-60 and the 60-75 and until recently thought they were so comfortable and so usable, then I noticed a flaw. The waist belt has a stiff edge that cuts into the pack at the point where the lumbar pad is fitted. This wears a hole in the pack. I have 2 packs and they both have holes. When I contacted SD by email they have yet to respond. I am currently on their online chat where their customer service person said she would look into it, that was of now over an hour ago and still no further response.

I hear in your review you briefly spoke about the 60-75 liter pack, but you don’t actually show it or speak how your gear fits into it. Will you be doing a separate video on that pack hopefully shortly? Is it noticeable larger in height or width than the 40-60 liter? I recently purchased the Exped Thunder 70 that you reviewed awhile back and don’t think it carries the weight as well as the Flex Capacitor(tried and returned), finding the Exped 70 difficult to get fitting correctly especially with the load lifters in getting the harness to feel flush over the shoulders. And the Flex Capacitor 40-60 is to small for my camping.

Great review, thank you much. What’s the most you’ve hauled in that Puppy? Do you think it would Be comfortable at the mid to upper 30s?

Hey! love the channel, super informative! I was wondering what the black and white pack on the wall at the very top left of the screen is? Looks like the exact style I was looking for but can't quite make out the logo! Thanks in advance and keep up the great work :)

If you could only choose one backpack, would you choose the Flex Capacitor or the HMG Southwest/Windrider 3400? I backpack in the Sierras which has a bear cannister requirement
@Backpackinglightse4 жыл бұрын
HikeRx hard choice.. probably have to go with the windrider. Doesn’t carry heavy weight as well, but not too bad. Also, I like that it can compress down to a 35 liter pack when not using the full capacity and can even have as carry on if packed properly.

That is a tough choice. I own both. If I didnt need to fly with the pack, the flex would be my choice. The windrinder is easier to squeeze into carryon. The flex will carry that xtra bear can weight like its nothing. Not being fatigued by the pack itself makes the hike much more enjoyable. Not that HMG isnt good, its just not as good. I like the built in water bottle holders on the straps, holds the water close and snug and doesnt flop around and at no extra cost.

I got this pack and shoulder strap attachments are just ridiculous. I have seen much better on cheap day packs. disappointed.
